Sometimes I don't like one button gameplay, but this quickly became a "one more try..." game for me. Fun idea, and the PETSCII graphics lend the presentation extra charm!

Incredible conversion!

Depending on what Mac you have, it might be worth trying out under Crossover (paid) / Whisky (free) / Wine (free). When I still had a M1 Macbook Pro up until a few months ago, I was able to run quite a few Windows games at 30+ FPS w/ 1080p high settings, 45 - 60FPS medium or low. And since Steam offers easy refunds on games with less than 2 hours playtime, it was pretty low risk to buy a game and try it out. If I couldn't get it working well before the 2 hours, I could always refund.

Haha if you're crazy, it's a good kind of crazy. :) I'm sure you'll make it to the Guinness Book with your efforts! I appreciate you bringing so many interesting classic games to the Game Boy. It was really a joy to find your port of Cops and Robbers among them. It was one of Zzap!64's lowest rated games, but a favorite of mine as a kid since every screen was different and I had fun trying to figuring out how to win. It's also been great seeing games I never heard of before, especially from the C16/+4 since I didn't have experience with those. Your adaptations really honor these creative games developers of yesteryear very well. Cheers!

Just want to say, you're incredible. I'm certain you're the most prolific Gameboy developer who has ever lived. Even as powerful as GB Studio is, I've no idea how you manage to convert so many games so quickly and so well. Your attention to detail is wonderful. Great job! Are you able to find a way to do most of your game ports with GB Studio as-is or do you eject the engine and add custom code?

For Mac Chrome users, there's a pretty simple workaround to get this (and other Godot 4 games) to load without making the browser freeze for minutes.

Type chrome://flags/#use-angle in your address bar and hit Enter, and then a settings page will load where you should see a section at the top called Choose ANGLE graphics backend.

Click on the dropdown next to it and change the value to Metal. You'll be prompted to let the browser restart. After it restarts, you'll be able to load and play this great game with no problems. Enjoy!

P.S. This also works for other Chromium-based browsers, such as Opera, Edge, Thorium, etc. If changing this setting causes you any problems with other web pages (it hasn't for me), you can always change it back the same way. Just return to that page and choose Default or OpenGL instead.

It may be possible with a polyfill: https://github.com/google/web-serial-polyfill
