Saw your game on BSky and it looked really cute. I just got done playing it and I think it was fun. I have some suggestions / feedback.

  1. There are pauses at certain points like when I collect the spicy pepper. I believe this is a shader compilation stutter. Supposedly Godot 4.4 is meant to fix this. Perhaps you could do a loading screen for now, where you spawn all the shader effects and particles so they get compiled.

  2. Probably a skill issue on my part, but I think it’d be good if the player had a very small magnet pull on fruit that is close to them. Sometimes I ran into the issue of being very slow and awkwardly circling a fruit, but that is also part of the fun, so this is subjective.

  3. Perhaps a small info screen before you play that tells you what to expect, e.g. the eggplant(?) puts juice on your screen.

  4. Loved that getting fruit increased my timer, felt like good feedback and a reward. I’d suggest trying to further that feeling. Maybe a score combo for getting fruit rapidly.

Otherwise, it was a very fun and polished experience. I think everything fit together in terms of visuals, music, and general vibes. I think it was cute how the music slowed down at game over. This was a great little indie game and I’m happy you got to ship a game, that isn’t easy to do.

Hoping to see more from you :)

Looks awesome, although the download says

This asset pack is currently unavailable

This look adorable but I'm not sure how it is meant to be used, as the only downloads are gifs? I would assume a 3D asset would include some kind of 3D model format, but I never used PicoCAD so for all I know you import the gif into it, lol.

Either way, hope to see more stuff from you, love your style :)

Sorry it took me literal years to reply. Did you ever work on that puzzle platformer? I've took a glance at your page and you have plenty of games, and when I find the time I am going to play through them :)

Wishing you all the best.

I know this is an older prototype, but I wanted to say that its pretty good so far. The mechanics feel tight and everything is responsive. Right now the biggest thing I could suggest is polishing the audio and visuals, such as an attack animation and better fitting sound effects.
