I want you to know that this was the game I decided to play after finishing the Trails in the Sky trilogy.

Also the game was fun and cute, haha~

This was a real fun 1-2 hour experience. There were only a few battles, but crucially, they were all challenging, yet fair, fights to get through. It has a small microcosm of a story that I quite enjoyed as well, I thought it made good use of the short runtime.

(1 edit)

I have never really posted on itch.io forums before but I think I ran into a problem.

So this is part of the Solstice path, near the end of Refuge, seemingly.

I successfully entered the room of the Author (I think) after placing the .txt files (NOT the whole folders) of Rue, Cedric, and Proto in the BigPortal folder in Documents. As Rue alluded, I entered the room to the north and saw the glowing X on the floor, making me think I needed to click the X on the top right of the window the game is running in (like in the first playthrough)

Unfortunately, I can't run the program anymore. Now, whenever I attempt to start OneShot, either through a shortcut or going into OneShot Standalone build 64bit and clicking the application itself, nothing happens. My mouse cursor gets a brief "loading" indicator for a few seconds and goes away after that. Basically I think there is a bug preventing me from opening OneShot and continuing as normal.

If it helps I am playing on Windows 10 on the 64 bit version. I am willing to answer more questions so I can troubleshoot away this problem I have.

Edit: okay, so, I posted this, then attempted to turn off my computer so I could wait for a response in the morning. It... didn't turn off at all, even after 10 minutes. I decided to force it to turn off by using the physical power button on my computer, which always makes me nervous. I turned it back on to see if anything was damaged, but everything looked fine.

I attempted to start up OneShot again out of curiosity, and now it seems to work just fine.

Sorry for wasting the moderator's time, though it's strange that this issue happened to me in the first place, I dunno what happened at all.
