There's also Lucky Paradise - absolutely beautiful game. Development, story, animations and design, does incredibly in all categories. 5/5 if I'm allowed to slightly exaggerate.
Once In a Lifetime - a fun, incredibly well put together game that's not just entertaining, but hilarious. The progression with the characters starts off a little fast, but after the story and the humor takeoff it's hard to notice. As you get further into the game the relationships with the characters become more slow and developed and then it's one of your favorite games. 4.6/5 stars
No problem man
Trouble in Paradise - interesting story, but the characters and character remains make the game so wonderful. Further in to the story though, it does fall into the trope of women throwing themselves at you, but you've built a decent excuse at that point. I'd give that one a 4.5/5
Come Home - really cool story of a man who returns to his hometown in order to find his Dad, but has its harem. The 3D modeling might be a turn off for some, as it's a little different, but I don't think it's an issue personally. Only downside is that it's a little short right now, with like 3 hours of play time. 4.7/5 stars
To give this game 5 stars is a little generous, but not too generous as it definitely deserves a high rating. TL;DR great game. This is also in my review of the game.
This is one of the first games where it actually feels like you're playing a character, despite a generic harem MC. There's a story and themes of becoming a human again, loyalty, and abandonment. The women to romance feel very fun, but ultimately seem like they're there to support the MC becoming human again (not a bad thing, I love the more story-like feel to the game).
The MC is a man who doesn't leave any attachment to people initially, but with your choices you can either get him to open up slowly or continue to be a recluse (I don't see why you'd pick the recluse option unless you're truly interested in keeping the MC loyal to himself, and this is an adult VN). The progression due to this feels different than other VN's, and keeps you intrigued with exactly how each interaction is going to play out with other characters. It's a neat little addition from the standard"MC sweet, more pussy get" that you normally see. The side characters and romance interests develop with the MC at a great pace, in my opinion. Some literally throw themselves at him, while others are a slow build-up to the eventual romance. As a guy who's literally playing porn for the plot (my parents would be so proud), this is wonderful. It all feels like the MC has a group of actual friends and every character contributes just a little to building him to be a better person, should you choose the romantic route. The pacing, combined with a solid plot, make for a very enticing story.
All in all, this is a great game and shows significant improvement versus the creator's other project (My Bully is my Lover) in all aspects; fleshed out characters and plot, an actual MC, and relationships that have a steady build-up versus the already-established relationships. Great work and thank you for reading this loser's half-assed but full-honest review.
TL:DR; First time reviewing a game, I love it, it's funny, it plays like a daydream, it's awesome.
Okay, so I'm caught up now, and you definitely didn't ask for it but I'm kinda compelled to leave a review. I don't really do these (mainly because I'm pretty likely not to get a response from the dev, but also I'm aware that this is THEIR and YOUR projects, not mine. Definitely inspired to make these though)
So basically, I want to hit up the semi-rough beginning, the wonderful plot that the current model is left on (no spoilers), and just my general opinion of the game. Again, you didn't ask for this, obviously you'll just do you regardless of my opinion.
The rough start! In all actuality, it wasn't too tough to power through considering some other VN's. I think it's pretty evident that the initial character progression between you and the potential romance partners skyrockets really fast. It really seems like in just a few days they've come to term with the immorality of it and don't care. I know not a lot of people are fans of a slow buildup, so maybe I'm in the wrong there. I think it would be nicer to get a more solid foundation and feeling between all the characters.
The general plotline and progression after the antagonist has been introduced, by contrast, I think is wonderful. It's your token story of conspiracy, imagination, and demons. It hits all the right spots to remind the players of that story that they used to think of in middle school, but without the cringe. It's the fairy tale that pretty much every guy who plays 18+ visual novels thinks of. On an unrelated note, a lot of things totally just became clear about me.
After everyone comes to terms with themselves, it becomes evident how much fun you've had writing the story. Fun! It's so charming and exciting, with tons of humor and plays like a wonderful fantasy that you put to paper. I'm not sure how long you've thought about this, or how long you've spent on this particular story but it's definitely something I can feel the enjoyment of creating, even as a player. The jokes and background scenes and recurring gag characters actually had me laughing out loud while I play porn games alone in the dark. The animations and designs are definitely cleaner than most games, and I've thoroughly enjoyed playing this game and really look forward to more.
All in all, this is one of the few games where is I was caught playing I would actively try and defend myself vice hide in a hole and wonder exactly where in life I disappointed my father. It's a hilarious game, love the fun story, love the characters, and am really excited to see what's to come. It's a wonderful game, honestly 9/10!
