The idea is nice! Good work :)
The controls feel a little bit clunky. I would wish that there would be a buffer or something so that I can press for example "ADSA" and then the 4 sounds would be played one after the other instead of pressing "A", waiting for the sound, pressing "D", waiting for the sound and so on.

Optically great and a cool idea!
I ended up using superspeed simply all the time. Short after releasing I'd simply press again. Not sure if it was thought this way.
Also I liked the variation on the levels a lot

Best fried egg - slightly strong aluminium taste

After around level 3 it get's a little repetitive. The skills and effects one gets are pretty cool but for example the mine felt way less useful than the cyclone. It would be maybe nice to be able to pick the first skill.

It's fun to play! I like the music and the art style feels very consistent :)

Thanks a lot for the feedback AspicProd, brings a smile to my face to see you enjoyed it :)

The WebGL Build is a great idea. I will do it as soon as I can. :)
Regarding the sprites I have to admit that I'm not sure myself in which art direction I am actually going, and so there are mainly two different styles.
There's the outlined more cartoony look I used before (as for example for the Pirates) and the slimmer, more pixel-arty I slowly migrate to (as the archer character). Could you maybe say which of those two is the one you liked less?

Hope you have a great day :)

Thanks a lot wolfmakesgames! Really happy to hear that you enjoyed it! :)

I know the UI is still quite ugly and I know some of the pain points player have with it, but could you maybe tell me a little what exactly you think I could improve on the UI (or at least the most annoying points for you)?

I have actually implemented music and sound effects from this version on, so I am a little surprised you didn't hear it ^^'
May I ask for which Operating system you have downloaded the game?

Regarding the description I will definitely to give it some flavour.

Have a great day! :)

Hi everyone,

I'm working already for around 9 months in my spare time on a game called Sunstone Seekers. It's a turn-based, tactical rougelike. Somethings like Final Fantasy Tactics or Banner Saga, but taking a lot of Rougelike inspiration from Slay the Spire.

Although 9 months is already quite some time to create prototype, better get feedback earlier than later :)

I'd really appreciate if you could give me feedback on:
1. Whether you had problems understanding the mechanics
2. Whether it was fun to play (and more than anything: what was fun)
3. What is it that you don't like (or whether you feel like this game takes a wrong direction in general)
4. Whether the text on my itch.io page helped you to get an image of the game

Nevertheless, I'd appreciate any feedback I can get.

Thanks a lot to everyone who participates!! :)

Thanks a lot for playing and also the feedback! :)
The music and the sound effects are the current features I'm working on, so they will be hopefully up soon.

I've also seen that the "attack of opportunity"-concept is a little confusing, so I will defintely try to explain it better. So in that regard a double thank you for also grabbing the video and making me able to see you play the game :)

Hi everyone! :) On wednesday the demo for Sunstone Seekers launched, the very first public demo to my very first. So I'm incredibly excited :) More than anything, I hope to be able to be able to connect with other people who are into this genre of games and get into the community.

What is the game about?
In Sunstone Seekers, you play 1-4 characters that are trying to make their way to the magical sunstone. Every run, and with it every skill, item and additional characters you get during your run are randomly generated. And so every run you will have a very different experience: You may discover new combos, new mechanics and will face new difficulties :)

What is unique about Sunstone Seekers?
There are several things that make this game different to any other in this genre. However, the most outstanding feature the opportunity to set up extra attacks and create devastating combos. This can be done by pushing enemies around and make them walk (or fly) through control zones.

However, this is only my opinion. And I'm very interested in hearing yours: Do you think it's another feature of the game that makes it different? What do you like and what do you don't like?

You can download the demo right now (for free) on https://dumrum.itch.io/sunstone-seekers
I'd be very happy if you play it, and even happier if you leave me feedback - Good luck :)
