I got my Quest 2 over the weekend, and ended up playing this for 2 hours. The next days my legs turned into jelly, but I'm dying to jump back in and carry on. I LOVE the fact that you need to shift around to get into cover, and gives the game such a dynamic feel. I ended up buying it on steam as well, looking forward to getting the sequel too. I did however run into problems trying to play multiplayer - both via SideQuest and on Steam. As soon as I "start" a game the screen fade to black and never loads the level. After a while I can shoot and reload, but other than that there are no sound effects/music.

Good fun, reminds me of High Hell. Struggling to play on my pc though, I have a 4k screen but graphics card is struggling. Can we get some options to change resolution and graphics settings?

I wasn't 100% sure what I was doing in this game, it needed some instructions to further explain the gameplay. The food fight is an interesting concept and could benefit with some more mechanics to further enhance some gameplay dynamics.

Really enjoyed this game! From a multiplayer point of view the gameplay is super fun and engaging, and easy to pick up. Really great execution of combining the theme and gameplay and tech together.

Really enjoyed this one, the game play is great and combat is fun. I feel the theme could have been pushed further and tied into the gameplay more.

I really enjoyed the theming and use of the South African map as a playing field. A really good concept that I feel could be polished and beefed up with some new gameplay features to add some more interesting dynamics.

Take control of the skies in this 2D retro-aerial dogfighting game. Step into the cockpit of an ace pilot in the golden era of aviation, and destroy the invading forces. Featuring arcade style gameplay, the game is easy to learn yet difficult to master.

Blazin' Aces was initially launched on mobile devices in 2014, for archival purposes I have decided to release it free to the public to play on PC.

Thank you very much, love the video! Used the road rage button effectively :P

Thanks for the mention :)

Thanks for the Lets play! Seems like the rooftop deathmatch could be built upon further :)

Hehe thank you - Enjoy! Let me know what you think

Thank you! This was my first attempt at making a game in Unity (used to make games in GameMaker before this). It's a tad unoptimized and a bit clunky, but I had fun making it and I'm really happy you enjoyed it!

Hi everybody,

I have uploaded my latest game to itch.io today - Skadonk Showdown.

The game has been developed part time over a few years in my spare time. I've really enjoyed the process and I thought I'd share the latest build with you all.

About the game:

Shadonk Showdown is a physics charged, multiplayer vehicle game wrapped in a South African theme. Fast reflexes, itchy trigger fingers and luck are needed to come out on top. The game concept, was sparked by the rich concentration of different individuals and cultures within South Africa – most importantly the Taxi culture.

Taking inspiration from games such as Mario Kart and Zero Gear, the game is designed for short fun play sessions with and against friends.
