Thanks for the feedback. More guidance could be good, perhaps a riddle could help as an extra nudge? There are 4 orbs in the puzzle room, you can select 4 runes in any order you want and room is reversed/flipped if that helps a little.

As for the ability to reset the book we purposefully kept that in. The theme for the jam was One Time Use so you only really get one shot at it. If you were playing the polished version the puzzle should be a clear fail or pass. There was a pretty big bug with the doors connection to the book in the original upload which was a big oops and would totally make things unclear.

Thanks for the feedback. For it's development we do not plan on turning this into a full game especially without a programmer.  It's just a very small thing 3 of us whipped up to see what we could do in a few days for the GJL jam but we do have a more polished version that should be up in a bit if you care to give that a spin too.

Hello, there should be a little box in the room that you interact with. We used line tracing and it may be a little finicky but you should be able to get the second piece you need. But after that there is a bug with the main puzzle that we are trying to fix today.  Hope this helps. :)

Glad you enjoyed the game and feeding those ducks. :D

Thanks. :)  We did drop the ball a little on some stuff but I'm glad you enjoyed it though. :D

Yeah, there was a flashlight you can find while looking around the house. Unfortunately when it comes to player guiding it was more of an issue due to time crunching. :/ We wanted to encourage people to explore and try things out themselves with minor hints and a little journal/notepad but had to go with the whiteboard and leave some suggestions on the itch page. (didn't want to give away too much and take away from the exploration aspect though :) ) As for a video, we already started work on one along with some gifs, especially with how things went on the stream.  Hopefully it can nudge players in some direction until we can make a more polished version. We do still want it to be hard to fully complete the first time round, encouraging some more replayability but not the way it is right now that is pretty confusing. Good practise over all though and thanks for your feedback.

If you get the nerf gun from the attic you can use it to shoot the toy soldiers. You can also use the nerf gun to shoot the "orcs" in the forest and the "aliens" (conkers haha). There's a few tasks that the nerf gun is tied to. We ran out of time to make it clear (in-game) how to complete the different tasks. Its unfortunate because there is quite a decent amount of tasks and things to do that I think players are going to miss out on.

Thanks OhmZ we really appreciate it that's our plan, thanks again for playing :)

Super Market Mayhem is a chaotic, physics based multiplayer party game. With local co-op (Online is planned too) of up to 4 players, enter a semi randomly generated shop floor and try compete in many different game modes all themed around shopping.

In this prototype you, and up to 3 other players, can battle it out to see who comes out on top in The List game mode. The player that succeeds in delivering the highest number of completed lists  to the checkout WINS.

Check it out herehttps://eggganggames.itch.io/supermarket-mayhem

We are a participating team in Tranzfuser 2020 which is a part of the UK Games Fund. We would really appreciate any feedback you could give us.

Thank you for taking the time to look through this and we hope you enjoy playing Super Market Mayhem.

The game supports a single player option right now if you would like to play the game, we are in early development however so there are no ai players to go against as of yet. :)
