That was interesting.
Okay positives: I love the sound design. I think the monster looks kind of creepy, and combined with what he says I think his vibe is unsettling enough. The ending is ACTUALLY pretty cool and helped the game a lot, though not the most unexpected thing in the world I thought it was pretty disturbing and nicely done.
Now the NEGATIVES: The gameplay's just kind of... there. You're never actually in danger from the slender man clone, since if you accidentally look at him you're just a sporadic mouse flick away from safety. I thought eating the pizza would've been a cool opportunity to have him teleport in front of you so you have to reposition yourself before you resume eating, but that wasn't the case. Also if you turn around in the intro you can just stare at him and go up to him all you want, you don't actually have to keep your head down and go to your house. I turned around and he was just A-posing there all menacing like which was really funny. The cutscenes I felt dragged, the text stays on the screen just a couple seconds too long and you can't skip any of it. Also the graphics I'm conflicted on because I get what they were doing but it did kind of just feel like they took normal mediocre graphics and made it unbearably low res without really any real purpose behind doing so. By the end my eyes were just kind of annoyed by it. Oh yeah minor nitpick, but items you're holding can get stuck on doors and other objects, and the button to open doors is the same button used to throw items, so you can see how that was a bit irksome.
I don't know, I can't be that hard on this free 10 minute long game that clearly was made by someone who cared, I just feel like there were chances to do a lot more than what was done and I'm including criticism because I really want to see this dev improve! I wish them utmost luck in their future projects.

Was EXTREMELY surprised by how much fun this game was! It was a nice tabletop esque experience accompanied by soothing forest ambience that was overflowing with charm from the art, to the mechanics, to the writing! The sound design drove home the cozy board game feel, and I think it had just the right amount of strategy to make it engaging but never boring over the 20 minutes or so it took for me to beat. Really my only complaint is that it didn't do MORE with what it had, though I know it was made for a game jam. (Which is INSANELY impressive!)
The animals were also adorable and exiling them made me sad ;-;

Really like this game, though I do slightly wish had more meat on its bones. It feels like it's over right before the interest and horror were done paying off. Still, being made for a game jam the visuals are insanely good and polished, I greatly enjoy the sound design, and the premise is very unique and fun to get immersed in even if it isn't for that long. I respect what this game did.

Thanks for playing! Loved your vid, you're honestly underrated. The other games I currently have aren't quite to the same level as this one since they're mainly just me experimenting with code and ideas, but I've got a game coming out sometime soon that I can say I'll be genuinely proud of. Glad you could find enjoyment in this simple little game :)
Yeah, sorry about that. I definitely could've done a better job at hinting towards the good ending, like maybe putting the first hidden note in an obvious spot so they know there's more lying around. I'll definitely try to add more breadcrumbs for things like this in the future so the player isn't walking around aimlessly. Thanks for playing.
