I Uninstalled and reinstalled the game used the patch and it worked and I didn't need to replay the game
I don't "think" I have a second download to this game to keep my saves so uninstalling it didn't clear my saves but if you try this I would make sure you copy your save files just in case

I havent figured it out do i need to replay the entire game again?

As a way to unpack a zip you need to extract the zip folder to either another folder (if it doesn't come in a folder when you look at it) another but sometimes messy way is to just copy the files out of the zip folder
