Hi Amaleakim! Thank you for playing OFAF and for leaving your heartfelt review! You have a keen eye and empathise with the characters so much, being able to understand their POVs and underlying essence. And yes! As you pointed out, each of the routes bring different sides of Alto!
*spoiler warning ahead*
As you mentioned, with Kisha, Alto is more reserved as they just met, but she reciprocated the kindness and comfort Kisha gave her with her own unconditional love. Kisha's route focussed more on peeling the "layers" of Alto's true character, until she eventually let her guard down and discovered a side of her she did not even know herself.
In Sol's route, since the two have known each other for a long time, Alto's layers have been removed completely from the get-go, showing her in all her true, unrestrained nature. Perhaps that's why you enjoyed Sol's route more, hehe, we tried to show players a different side of her and added more comedic shenanigans between the two.
Since Lithiel is a mixed bag of personalities, ranging from being incredibly wise to being surprisingly child-like, his route pushed Alto to feel a spectrum of emotions: She went from being scared of him, to angry, to wary, to curious, to playful, and finally, to respect. Also, writing Lithiel's route was very fun as we added more lore dumps and didn't have to care about spoiling the secrets in Kisha and Sol's routes XD. Meanwhile, writing the other routes required loads of meticulousness and cross-checking to keep the suspense and avoid spoilers.
Anyway, thanks once again for sharing your experience and thoughts on OFAF! Hope you enjoyed playing it as much as we enjoyed making it ^^
Oh I think I understand what you mean now. Would it help if we added alt text to the puzzle? And are you using the self-voicing feature in Ren'py or an external text-to-speech software? Apologies for the questions, I just haven't experimented with Ren'py's accessibility features so I'm quite unfamiliar with it.
Hi there, Ggggf. Fyhvg! We have an upcoming otome game planned that will also be released on Android, but it's still in the early stages. Meanwhile, you can look at my socials for game updates , and thank you so much for playing!
IKRRRRR, the writing and art are mmmm *chef's kiss*
There are actually a total of 25 different endings (3 good ends, and the rest are "bad ends" with variations for each (my fave ending is a bad end)). And yeah, the save system is really something I should implement soon, ik it gets annoying having to replay the game all over again :"D
And thanks for playing! Glad we could make your day :D
Hi everyone,
Our game, Murder Mansion, is now released for free!
Murder Mansion is a single-player puzzle game with a mystery/horror-themed escape room setting where you assume the role of an abandoned child locked away in a mysterious mansion.
Your objective is to escape the manor by investigating the environment, finding clues, and solving puzzles before the murderer catches you.
Can you escape the mansion unscathed?
Do check it out if it sounds like your kind of thing! ^^
Hello again Ony_br! Thanks for reading!
Ehe, yeah I wrote this at a time when 'queer' is synonym to 'weird'. No, I did not use voice to text, my English then was just horrible (wrote this like 5 years ago) XD
*ahem* oho *cough* you are extremely perceptive. Ok just a secret between you and me (and to whoever else is reading this comment)... you are absolutely correct about Gaia and the world of BB being the same. Although not canon in any of my games, Barley Island (the island in the BB series) was originally planned to be the "remnants of Gaia" after what happened at the end of this novel. But for now... It shall remain a secret ;)
Siena should be dead at the time of this novel, hehe, since technically Synneah's grandpa was Reagan.
Yep, it does have some plot holes and numerous grammatical mistakes- nobody else proof-read it so... Anyway, hope you liked the book nonetheless, and thanks for leaving a comment once again, really brightened my day! ^^
