Hello folks! Just a quick check in on the status of the bundle - Because we do not have an even number of submissions, the funds received from sales are not able to be evenly split among those involved. I don't quite feel comfortable making a decision on who gets what sort of split from sales: Some folks were getting 5%, some 4%, but some as low as 2%, even when I tried to split it evenly.
So, as much as I would like to have a bundle run, I don't think it's something that I can do in good conscience. I do, however, encourage each of you to update your games to at least allow for the PWYW check out, so folks can leave you tips when they download your game.
Thank you all for your patience while I tried to get this working, and my apologies for not being able to get to it sooner.
Have a wonderful rest of your spooky season, folks!
Hey, folks! Just a reminder that this is an autumn-themed jam for TTRPGs - If your submission is off topic, it will be removed.
An additional reminder: If your submission has AI-generated art in it, it will be removed.
If you have any questions about these reminders, please reach out. Thank you for your understanding!
Okay, I LOVE the idea of timers on a game like this. It really creates the sense of urgency and frantic energy that I think someone would have in a "final girl" sort of scenario!
I think the idea of using something a can of sparkly water (or beverage of choice, maybe you want something stronger after finishing a harrowing game!) would be a really interesting mechanic for a timer. lol Could even go so far as to specify the Liquid Death canned water brand, just to be real on the nose.
(ha ha - See what I did there?)
So, what sort of goodies are y'all working on for the jam?
I'll go first: I'm working on finalizing a game that I've had waiting in the wings for probably about six months now, called The Hedge Witch. It's not spooky, but it is a game where the player is a witch, and they use tarot cards to divine the future of the villagers and tourists of their small, coastal town. So many of my games use cards as a main mechanic, but this is the first one where I created everything from the ground up on my own, so I'm really proud of how this one is coming along. I definitely a bit of a kick in the rear, though, to get moving and really finish it for publication.
Hey, folks! This post is going live about an hour before The Jam begins, and I just wanted to say that I'm super excited for you all to be here! Really looking forward to seeing everything that you all bring to this space.
Please feel free to use the community bounce ideas around, or ask for feedback! Especially if you're a newer designer, or if you're trying a new game style for the first time. We're all here to help each other learn and grow.
Thanks again so much for joining the jam, and please be sure to use the #CodeOrangeJam hashtag wherever you post about your work!
