Let us know what wave you make it to! Each wave scales the enemies' health and spawns more and more enemies. Only the best can make it more than a few storms.

Hi Daniel, I really like your animations! I have a Unity team that could use your skills. Feel free to check out my Post for more information, and if you are interested, you can reach me on Discord at .emmalion.

Hi Liferabbit,

I really like your art! I am interested in discussing this further. Please reach out to me on Discord (.emmalon) if you are still interested and we can set up a time to meet.

Who we are:

We are a team of two Unity developers looking for an artist for the upcoming Brackeys Game Jam and potentially future game development opportunities. Our lead programmer has over 10 years of experience programming and we have recently gotten into Game Jams in order to expand our game development skills. We have experience developing Traditional Turn-Based and Tactical Grid-Based RPGs, Twin-Stick-Shooters, 2D Platformers/Beat-Em-Ups, Card Games, and 3D Platformers. During this past GMTK Game Jam, we completed a fully playable and decently polished game (with plenty of room for iterating on the design after the game jam) within the 4 day development window and our goal for this game jam is a similarly finished and polished product.

Who we are looking for:

We are interested in someone looking to develop their skills and help us increase the visual quality of our final products. We view game jams as a great opportunity to learn, experiment, and have fun and we hope to find someone interested in the same. We are a LGBTQIA+ identified team and hope to find someone accepting to partner with. We are located in the EST zone but generally keep long/late hours and have no requirements for team members to be located on the east coast.  We plan to devote the entire week toward working on development, barring any emergencies, but we understand if your time is limited and will work with you if required.

Previous examples of our work:

We Are Mini - GMTK Game Jam 2024

A Twin-Stick-Shooter Built to Scale! Gather your units, design your fleet, and fight wave after wave of the endlessly scaling horde in this unique Bullet-Hell experience! They may be big but We Are Mini!

Players fight endless arrangements of multiple different types of enemies as the number of units, their health, and their damage continue to scale wave after wave until the player is overrun. Utilizes a party management grid, allowing players to design and upgrade their own unique fleet of ships using 5 different types of units that each have their own ability, fire rate, and pool of health which allows them to function, and die, independently from each other.

Developed over the course of 4 days for the GMTK Game Jam 2024

Fading Suns - Tactical RPG Tech Demo

A Grid-Based Tactical  RPG with an Interactive Narrative set in the ruins of a formally colonized planet ravaged by solar radiation from a dying sun.

Utilizes a custom Grid-Based, Weighted A* Pathfinding algorithm, a Speed-Based Predictive Turn System reminiscent of Final Fantasy Tactics, and Stack-Based Turn Controller which allows for attacks, reactions, counters, and dozens of different types/shapes of abilities.

Developed as a technical demo for a Grid-Based Tactical RPG engine over the course of 2 weeks.

Hi! Thank you for the thorough feedback! We unfortunately noticed those two bugs too late to update our post for the game but we have a fix for the leader spread and part management bugs coming after the jam ends and submissions open back up for edits. I am glad you enjoyed the game and hope you keep an eye out for our updated version with additional enemies, updated UI, and some extra surprises!
