This is all awesome feedback! We definitely had plans to let the story shine through more with Soulsight (so you could actually figure out exactly what happened through the town by finding things that used to be there ... or even NPCs!) but sadly we ran out of time. It's definitely something we want to implement in the future, though!

And yeah, the clouds are a remnant of early development, haha. They'll be fixed shortly!

Thanks so much for the feedback. We first-time game-makers really appreciate it! :D

OOOH THAT IDEA OF HAVING THE LANTERNS MAKE A SOUND WHEN YOU TOUCH THEM IS GENIUS ... I can imagine a lovely little twinkle or chime, or maybe a bell! I am so stealing that idea, thank you! And thanks so much for the kind words! I put a lot of time making sure the movement felt satisfying and the parallax worked right so it makes me really happy to hear that those things are noticed and appreciated! :D

YEAH makes sense, Alex mentioned something like that, might play with the gravity scale to give the player more time to maneuver over to the lanterns!

YESSS I wanted to make a pretty lil fall animation so bad (since much of the game is spent falling!) but couldn't get it done before the due date, but now I totes plan on adding it >:D And omg go ahead, please show me if you do!

Aw, thank you so much Alex! I'm really touched, such high praise :D Did the falling part feel too challenging even while holding space to fall slower? In testing I thought that gave the player enough time to get from one side of the tunnel to the other, but I can revisit it! I think putting them in a pattern or sequence like you suggest could be fun.

I LOVE the design of this game! It's so neat and pretty, and the idea is cute! I think other people have mentioned it, but the jump isn't quite powerful enough to propel you up those one-block-tall platforms if that makes sense? That's really the only thing though! Everything else about this is so cool, and there are so many cool directions you could go from here.

OOOH I love the idea behind this! I wanted to try to do something similar, kind of like those games where you need to find something out of a picture but it was too complicated for me to figure out in Twine. I'm super impressed you manage to make it work so well! A couple of the pictures didn't show up for me, so it wouldn't hurt to check over your file paths, but this was so great! I loved getting to know the characters!

Thank you! I listened to the music so many times while testing and I'm still not tired of it it's so pretty :sob:

THANK YOU the last week was a mad dash tbh ... luckily the falling sequence was super straightforward. Thank you so much, I haven't really animated before and was very intimidated so I'm glad the struggle was worth it! :D

YO I've had Ori for years and never played it because I'm bad TT-TT Which lantern were you struggling with? The one on top of the house?

thanks! And yep, only three! will add in a ui element eventually to let you know how many there are.

Thanks Alex! I'm psyched to see where this goes, too! I have some fun ideas, just gotta figure out how the story is gonna bring it all together. Happy to be getting the hang of Unity!

I KNOW RIGHT I really wanna add some sort of inventory I love the thought of drawing little pixel items ... I think it would make a lot of sense for the main character to pick up stuff as they go through the world looking for their wife!

Thank you so much! Lol I'm glad the writing fit, I was trying to make it sort of tongue-in-cheek without letting it get annoying if that makes sense

Thank you sm I appreciate it!

AW thank u so much! YEAH I definitely need to work on readability lol. I'm glad you were invested in the characters, that was my goal!

Totally, those are all great ideas that I'll keep in mind and look to implement! Thanks Abe!

Oh, I LOVE that idea of players' choices of objects reflecting their field of study! Like these choices are equivalent to the sorting hat putting them in their Hogwarts house LOL. I definitely agree that I wanna add a way the character's choices actually impact what happens! Thanks for the idea Alex!

Oh wow, I love that idea! It's a great way to start introducing some of the variables we were talking about in class. Thanks so much for the feedback, Abe, I've got so many cool ideas now coming from that!

Yep, all that fun stuff is the plan for this semester! Just gonna keep on chugging along and see where it goes! Thank you sm for the feedback : D

woo thank you! feel free to msg me on discord @ darius#6971 and i can show you how i did it if you want!
