fun concept, very cool

Thank you! I am currently looking into setting my game up to allow translations to be possible. Currently, Chinese is not a priority (mostly because it'd require a new font and adjusting a lot of other things) but if I need it in the future, I will let you know.

Thank you so much for playing, it means so much to me! Check out the full game on the 23rd! :)

Thank you so much for playing the demo and your feedback!

To address what you said, yes the player's gender isn't too deeply important. It is a girl but it can also be whatever you want it be in some way :)

I've been trying to fix that bug, I adjusted the moving speed recently and it's been weird moving diagonal ever since. I'll definitely try to get it fixed. It's the mathematically correct speed for diagonal movement but it just doesn't feel right.

There is no combat in the game and if I may ask, at what point was it less interesting? Perhaps I can still adjust it in some way!

Thank you so much!

I did! I joined a Gamemaker library Discord and the person that made SSave was in the server so I  just asked them personally when I ran into issues.

Thank you! It means a lot :)

Thank you! :D

Wahoo!

I released a new trailer and the Steam/Itch pages for my game, Panoptia!

I've been working on it for 2 years and have done everything in it. I made the art, writing, music, programming, and it would mean a lot if you would share with friends and wishlist on Steam.

You should release a video tutorial or some sort of documentation for this, this tool seems amazing, but the demo isn't very useful and it's practically impossible to understand what I can even do with this tool.

I thought the ROM was available, so thanks for bringing this to my attention! It's available on the game's itch page now.

Also, if you do get it running on hardware, please send a photo of it to my Twitter or itch, I'd love to see it!

You only need to play it once! It's a linear story so don't worry about missing other endings or anything.

Also this was made in GB Studio, which means it isn't gameboy-esque, it IS gameboy. You could dump this ROM onto a real cartridge if you wanted and it'd run on actual hardware.

Thanks for playing!

Thank you! Glad you liked the story, I was really happy with what I did with the candy gift too. :)

And yeah, I am surprisingly happy with the music despite how difficult GB Studio's music tool is to use, it was the one part of GBS I didn't really like. The title screen specifically is one of my favorite melodies I've ever written.

Thank you!! GB Studio is very cool. :)

Thank you so much for all your kind words! It really means a lot and I'm glad you enjoyed the game and the story it told.

And as for the door, I knew that it closed after leaving, I just preferred it that way. Though it certainly could be an issue worth addressing! A developer definitely has a different perspective compared to the player.

Thank you! :)

I just released a short story game: The Ocean, Like Time.

It's available now on browser and is a quick 5 minute story about a boy grieving over his recently deceased best friend and bringing things to her grave everyday, so check it out! :)
