There is also 1 ending where caleb is cured instead shot. So i would say thats technically the best ending.

You get it when you reject going with Ted in the cave, so instead of going with Ted you leave with him and go back to your house, where the curse then activates, then your friends help you getting cured. (I wanted to be vague to not spoiler too much).
