Lately, I've been enjoying relatively short games, akin to short films or short stories. I've played several of RootBound's work, and among all their games, this one appears to hold the most promise for evolving into a slightly longer game or even a small saga. The music, graphics, and storyline are all thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommended!

I was about to ask something similar but with the "HD" version (wich its the same than this but with higher resolution). I have seen some screenshoots and it's a very nice update. Or the HD and the extended are the same? 

I loved this game when I played in its day!

Awake in a pixelated room, surrounded by the distinct abundance of the same four shades of green. It nostalgically harkens back to those '90s games.

Could this be another cliché where everything turns out to be a dream? Or is there something more behind the mysterious creatures seemingly lurking in the forest?

Don't give up even when all seems lost. Starting the game anew might hold the key to rescuing more than one lost soul. 

The Last One is a brief and simple adventure paying homage to the classic GameBoy aesthetic. Designed for one of the AGS MAGS, and recently completed.
