this is awesome. such a simple concept but very well executed to be fun and interesting, the great background progression compels you to keep playing and trying to progress despite strange block arrangements made for some rly fun emergent gameplay. Also love the cloud at the end really funny post game trick
pretty cool! cant believe i havent seen a mount-focused metroidvania before, so much potential! I love that you have different abilities with and without the mount, you could come up with some really good puzzles mixing all those abilities, lots and lots to work with here, and it feels pretty nice to play too!
well, some free options that i use are Unity (sort of requires scripting in c# but there are plugins like playmaker that let you do visual flowcharting logic instrad), godot, puzzlescript, bitsy (no scripting required and in browser! this is what i usually recommend to beginners!).
some other stuff i havent used quite as much is Unreal Engine (also has visual scripting), Gamemaker (which has some weird non scripting logic stuff)
