I am glad you say that for my goal was to create an idle builder rpg that I would play since I usually do not like the idle genre much myself. The immersion was a big focus.

Super happy you like it! I was thinking of a better way to swap items. Perhaps more of a visual indicator of what happens when they are picked up. I will also see if I can make the cloud sequence more clear.

Suppose it makes sense to keep them instead of swapping. The original idea was to change power between stages but I scratched that and just made them more like bonus unlocks than requirements.

You will have to go back to pick up the boomerang again. If you got it once it will be in the same place. Thanks for the feedback :)

Thanks a lot! I am not a fan of the coyote jump as I see learning the timings as a part of the experience. Sorry for the item bug. Still looking for a solution and it has been a hard nut to crack.

Thanks for letting me know! The movement, combat and camera was all quite an experiment. But I learn from every game.

Appreciate the feedback! It has been a bit tricky to get the right feel for the movement and combat in this project. There are ways to get more damage however and if you find the right gear you can become quite fast :)

You can use the mouse to move instead if you like. I am not familiar with Linux but thanks for letting me know!

The game does not explain itself very well but you can hook the walls with your sword. Just press attack while you are against a wall after a jump :)

I made this in Construct 2. I am no coder by any means, just and artist and musician. The engine lets me put together games with just event sheets and logic. I would never have been able to make games without it. So I cannot teach someone with code but I can recommend Construct 2 or Construct 3 as really good 2d game engines.

okay then after it's cleared it closes :)

The portal closes if you fall or clear it. If you fall you can sacrifice another class to try again :)

After all the base dungeons have been cleared you can build a shrine, see the rest :)
