I can pretty much understand the downvotes. I read and reread my comment before and after posting it and I can actually see it coming as hateful towards the VN. That's why I included the postscript at the end. I wanted to let the reader (especially the dev, seeing as he's already seen the comment) know that I posted the comment with the best intentions as I really want to see the story and characters move towards better development. However, I wouldn't have bren able to get the message across if I sugarcoated my words or if I walked on eggshells around it.

EDIT: Added a review. SPOILER ALERT
Downloaded the latest version from F95 so I'm not sure if it's the same in here but I encountered some kind of, well, not-exactly-a-bug.
Auto-Forward and Text Speed labels are switched in the settings. Text Speed slider is labeled as Auto-Forward and vice versa.
Great game tho. Really love the humor and characters. I'm bummed out that pregnancy isn't a (future) content but still, really nice VN.

Five Stars. I contemplated about using the proper review submission but thought I should put the comment here instead to let the other possible readers of the VN know what they can expect.
Well, first things first. Let's start with the protagonist. He is an extremely likeable character. As a detective, he is extremely quick-witted. I have seen other novels that established a character as smart/intelligent but forgot about it somewhere in the story to give way to unamusing cliches. His everyday schedule is somewhat laughable (in a good way) though since nobody has that kind of body to handle multiple important events back to back and still have the energy to somehow have time for his girls. I'd let that one pass though since it kinda works and it's fiction anyways.
Second, other protagonists and side characters. They are very likeable in their own way. Suzu, for example, is first established as a somewhat tsundere type but oh. GOD DAYUM. I did not expect that character development. Definitely a favorite. What bothers me somewhat is Miko being the first introduced of the girls from the class (Touka not included) but kinda forgot about her in the current version. Happy to see her get more screentime in the Hotel arc tho and hoping to see more of her in the future. I would've expected her to be the main/first romanced character (or Kana at the very least) but Suzu being it is still a really nice story development.
Third, something that bugs me are the hamsters. I'm a perfectionist so I wanted to collect them all but the first half of the little shits was kinda hard to click on Android. Glad to see the hamsters' hitbox got a lot bigger in the later part of the story.
Fourth, as I said in the previous point, I'm a perfectionist. And that's where this point comes in. Some content are hidden in a branching path. Hamsters, unlockable scenes and the like. It's not exactly a gamebreaking issue but it would be nice if this kind of branching doesn't spread to the story (i.e. choosing someone over someone). This is more of a personal issue/request so you don't have to take this point seriously.
That's about it, I think? TLDR: Good story, good characters, good protagonist. Would love to have more Yuu and Takashi screentime (No, not lewd scenes, goodness). They are just one of the most likeable characters aside from the main ones.
Cheers!
I'm at the part of the story with Altina being bought by the MC but so far, I very much agree with one of the comments down below.
The protagonist is a wuss. It doesn't feel like I'm playing "as" him but rather, I'm just watching him be dick on himself. Last I checked, the description says that the protagonist is supposed to be the "hero of the story but he doesn't feel like a hero at all. He saved his landlady and friend, then revived Azula but after that, everything went downhill regarding his character. He's too indecisive in scenarios that matter the most. On the off chance that he makes a decision, the story forces you to make the worse choice. For example, the story established Vie as an extremely arrogant and hostile character towards the MC but doing Altina's questline, you're given the option to tie loose ends with her or let her go. Oh. Lo and behold, you get a game over when choosing one of the choices.
Second, some of the romanceable characters aren't likeable at all. For example, I get that Estelle is a tsundere type but the way she's made is, well, annoying, to say the least. Her lines are so overused, she doesn't improve her character, she gets involved in other characters' story arcs so much that it's more of a hindrance than a joy to see it. By the time I get to her own story arc, I already got tired of seeing her that I no longer paid attention to the dialogue and just skipped everything because I already had my fill of Estelle screen time through the other quests. Same with Azula. Her character is extremely ironic by saying that her species don't care about morality but she chastises the MC for lewding on other girls, specifically Altina's questline.
Third is the lore. It's so jam packed with story that it's getting old. Don't misunderstand. I like it when novels delve into the details but it's done so rough in this specific title. Flashbacks, for the most part, are welcome, but it is so out of place in here. As an example, a good flashback chapter is done in another visual novel called My Bully is My Lover (if any of you reading my comment read that novel, you probably know which chapter I'm talking about). The flashback in that visual novel chapter is EXTREMELY LONG but I did not feel tired of seeing it. In fact, I would've replayed the novel without skipping anything. However, in here, the flashbacks just makes the story more vague contrary to MBiML tying up loose ends in the story via the flashback. It is not enjoyable to say the least. Besides, I feel like the flashbacks are trying hard to give personality to the characters involved but it's doing more harm than good, IMO, because one, I'd rather give the screentime to the MC and have him improve his personality instead of establishing something else that happened outside of the novel's time setting. Two, you're walking on the edge of a knife here by showcasing the girls involved with other dudes. I know they aren't NTR, just to make that clear but I wouldn't want to read a story about a guy watching his girlfriend's old AV tapes.
Fourth, side characters. They are getting introduced by the droves and it's becoming a chore to remember them. I don't know if you have a plan to involve the Champions into the romance but they don't interest me at the moment. Suddenly focusing the camera on them when the questline is about someone else is annoying. I would've understood if it was a Main Quest but nope, it's listed as Altina's (Honestly, it feels more of a main quest so just gonna put that opinion out there). It's the same with Estelle as I mentioned above. She's way too involved in other character's story quests.
Now, I may be blabbering about Altina too much but that's just because it's where I noticed a ton of really bad story details. It's not an isolated case. I can pretty much keep going with Estelle, Celestia, and Laureate.
With the Princess, she's the same as Azula. Her character is extremely ironic. She's the person running the Scarlet Contract business but she chastises the MC for using her services.
Makoto's mistaken for a guy trope got old after the first one.
Celestia's character development is downhill. She was a better character before joining the household. At least, she was doing her best when she was living in the street. After being bought, she turned to this kind of slobbering mess of a person. The story isn't helping by justifying it as "half breeds do what half breeds want". Contradictory, I'd say. She's tamed and educated judging by her story but her current personality says otherwise.
PS: I'm not doing this criticism out of spite but rather, in hopes of seeing improvement to the game.
Cheers!
Hey there! I just started to read this VN and I'm not gonna lie, it's been a pleasurable experience so far (just passed the market scene). I really like the characters. The humor is really great.
One thing though. Would it be possible to have an option to turn off the hair down there? Not that I mind but I just really prefer it more when it's shaved.
Other than that, really great story so far. Expecting a lot of good things from here on out!
Hello! I just wanna say that the game's really great. I like the chill vibe the it's giving off. Kind of like "Papers, Please"-ish gameplay. One issue I have about it though is the graphics. It hurts to the eyes and has this blurry effect. The general color of the environment also contributes to it. Even reading the text gets difficult because of it.
For those asking, the devs are doing a complete overhaul for CTB. They're updating things on Discord but regarding the Ukraine-Russia war and getting caught up with it, the dev involved is safe AFAIK but I just saw a leak of the remaked CTB and that gives me all the info I needed to know that this is not an abandoned project. Feel free to check their server as the information I have are limited.
Hi there! This VN caught my interest and before I start playing, I was wondering if there's a guide of any kind (if I even need one) or is it similar to Projekt Passion where the choices only a make a difference to the dialogue? I'm not very good with decision-based games and I heavily rely on walkthroughs whenever I sit through games like this.
Yo. Quick question. Right now, the girls with available scenes. Not all of their scenes are replayable, right? Like, for Bianca, only four are replayable. Same as Aurora. Isabella and Marian has one each and the others just don't have that option.
Are the replays not implemented yet or am I bugging out?
Not sure if it only happens to me but on some days, I can't spend my energy at daytime because there are no available girls to do "stuff" with, resulting in a cowgirl not being able to produce maximum milk. I don't know about the others but this happens to me most on Mondays.
Suggestion: Make the girl inside Bastet's Domain still be available to do "stuff" to pass the time OR make it so the player can skip time without the game turning to night immediately.
Here's a few:
1. Fates Collide - KatanaVN, FREE (Made a collab with Eternum, haven't played this one yet so I don't have an accurate description)
2. Once in a Lifetime - Caribdis, FREE (Same dev of Eternum, also set in the same universe)
3. Leap of Faith - DriftyGames, PAID (Scenes are not as glorious as the ones above but the story is more impactful, focuses on drama instead of supernatural/mystery)
4. Agent17 - HEXATAIL, FREE w/ extra paid content (MC picked up a phone that a secret agent calls from time to time, uses it to do "things", has multiple routes and avoidable NTR content, choices don't matter that much but the game has a prompt if the choice you're going to make has a big impact on the story)
5. Lucky Paradox - Stawer (Only played this for a bit but I think this one's also a good one, models also look great)
6. Goodbye Eternity - RNGeusEX, PAID w/ free demo (great artstyle, good storyline, some commenters in the game's itch page provide other players with tips and guides regarding some of the gameplay)
Others:
1. Zombie's Retreat - Siren, Part 1 PAID Part 2 Free (RPG maker game, survival type, both are set in the same universe, other games by the dev are also great)
2. Daily Lives of My Countryside - Milda Sento, FREE (Harvest Moon meets Summertime Saga, RPG Maker, built-in game guide and cheats, artstyle and animations are great)
3. Con-Quest - Cuddle Pit Games, FREE (Pokemon-like battle system, basically cosplayers in a stadium who got cursed by some kind of spell so expect to see familiar faces, the story's not that deep but I was there to fap)
4. Wasteland Lewdness - IcyViridian, FREE (Text-based adventure game, has multiple paths and story routes to follow right from the get-go, dev updates regularly every month or so)
Here you go, fam. Not sure what's your preferred cup of tea so I just put a little bit of everything.
