ooo yes, i should have added functionality of the double jump, to the instruction page (i think there is a tooltip which pops up when you loot the boots which tells you but that is the only reference) make sure to press 1 on your keyboard to select the double jump boots. You will know if you have them selected as the white box above the ui will display "Double Jump Boots". Sorry that i didnt make it more clearer :(
