I grew very attached to Carl.

The game is repetitive but somehow doesn't get boring. I think I probably had the most fun with this game out of the others I've seen so far. It'd be neat to see what a more fleshed out or expanded version could do.

Day 1:

The jam is on, and I think I have a solid idea. I want to make a game that plays a bit like Majora's Mask, in which you relive the same day over and over. At the end of the day, you are killed, yet somehow come back to life and are sent back to the beginning of that same day. The player will need to figure out why they are dying and find a way to exit the loop. They won't keep anything between days, other than any knowledge they gained previously (like a password). I'll be using pixel art for the characters and environment, with some minimal hand drawn art for other things. My main concern with this idea is that it's a bit big, so I might run out of time and need to cut some things. I think that as long as I manage my time wisely and don't get too ambitious with the game, I should be able to create something pretty cool.

I'll try to keep updating this log as much as possible, but life stuff happens, so I'll probably lose a few days. I wish the best of luck to everyone in the jam!
