It is allowed, but you will probably want a way to export your project -- Scratch is hosted entirely in Scratch and so you wouldn't really have a way to move it over to itch.io

as per the rules, any game engines are allowed

Hey there, we're going to unlist this this post.

We want to encourage you to join, but the world we exist in means you shouldn't share or hint at your age like this.

yup, 3d games are allowed!

This game was amazingly polished, super creative, and was just such a great experience!!! Easily 5's across the board and a strong contender for top 20!

As always, Team Bugulon has made me drop my jaw

The style is great, and while there are a lot of games about climbing in the jam, this one takes that interpretation and slaps a very unique spin on it!

Super enjoyable, 5 stars all around

Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed the game!

Thank you!!

This game is SUPER awesome, with lots of style and really cool visual tech!! Gonna enjoy speedrunning this when I've got some time on my hands!

Thank you!! :D

Ayy, thanks Yollie

And yeahh, the mixels were a bit unavoidable. I had some ideas on remedying the issue, but unfortunately I'm much more familiar with Godot than GMS2, and didn't wanna risk breaking the project just to get that little "itch" of the prevalence of mixels out of sight and out of mind haha

Haha thank you, loved your entry too!! And your fonts are amazing, I use them everywhere haha

ohh there are a lot of updates, I wasn't able to work on the game during the school year because college has been keeping me busy, but once summer started I've been cranking out changes -- mainly optimization stuff but i've also remastered the gameplay loop to encourage replayability and done a lot of QoL stuff like having the player press space to get a new tower instead of forcing it, debugging, etc. Mostly trying to address all the major complaints with the game so I can work on expanding.

That being said, I'm also working on new content -- mainly new waves and a couple new towers, and making sure that all towers have a combo with every other tower.

At the moment I'm waiting on finishing all these updates and also not being completely broke to put it on Steam (curse you $100 Steam fee), I'll also make a new itch page so the pre-finished version can be archived (despite all its kinks, I am pretty attached to this version and I don't wanna see it completely disappear). Oh and I've decided to make the Steam version free instead of paid. Just feels more right for this game to me.

And then, once release swings by, I'd just keep updating it for a bit until I feel it's "complete". Honestly, I might go ahead and release it on itch earlier just because of this comment lol. Super appreciate it!!!

Thanks a ton! I might try and push an update post-jam, pretty busy with work at the moment but I still wanna see where I can take this game

Aaaahhh I knew I was forgetting something!

Thank you so much!! The merchant's dialogue was honestly super fun to write, I'm glad the reception's been so good!

Thank you!!

Thank you so much!! These compliments mean a lot!

As for the gold thing, that's totally my bad -- maybe I should have dropped a gold coin when spawning the merchant or something, haha. I wanted the merchant to have a lot of personality, and my first thought was "gold" but in hindsight that really is probably pretty confusing when the game doesn't have any gold in it. I'll try and figure something out post-jam!

Super great visuals!!! Pixel art's amazing with some really juicy in-engine effects. The gameplay felt really nice, loved how you could capture and release an enemy! It made the gameplay feel really modular/dynamic

This game is amazing!! It's super juicy, you can tell a lot of work went into making sure everything felt, look, and played super well. The music and sound effects really fit the game well and meshed into gameplay super smoothly!! Amazing job, super well-made, 5 stars all around!!!

This game is INCREDIBLE!!! Super fun and juicy, catching fish has never been so fun! Everything here is top-notch -- the art, the sounds, the gameplay, everything

Five stars all around!!

This game is SUPER well-made!! It's really, really juicy and the art is just amazing. I liked how you could really feel the effect of each upgrade -- none of them felt like just stat upgrades. Amazing job!!!

thank you!!!

thank you!! It was really fun to implement

yeahh, that was def a bit of a risk on my part

i did it with the thought that the water would be pushing the boat forward, but i was never sure about how it felt to play

Oh, I finished it a couple days early as well. It was released, I think 2 days before the jam ended?

thank you!

Odd, I only started development on the 12th. Though thay was pretty much a week ago lol

This game is an absolute blast once you get the hang of it, it's super juicy, and while it takes a minute to get used to, once you do it's balls to the wall amazing. Probably the best octopus-based beach volleyball game I've ever played in my life!!

Super unique art style that I really appreciated, and balancing drinking the planets with avoiding projectiles made for a really fun experience!!! Super solid entry, great job!!!

Thank you!!!

Super fun game, I had a blast exploring what each option did!! This game's got some solid visuals with a lot of personality, and the soundtrack is really great!!!!

That's a huge compliment, thank you!!

thank you!!

thank you :3

aghh, yeah, you're not the only one :(

I need to set up a delay so people don't accidentally trigger the restart right when they die. It's going in as soon as uploads are re-opened

Thanks :)

Thank you!!
