This was made in a very limited amount of time for a game jam using a completely custom engine built from scratch (admittingly very underpowered). The point was not to use someone else's engine, but rather to learn the hardware at the core level. Try to understand the context before you start posting rude and non-constructive comments. 

Really enjoyed this one! I'm always one for creative gameplay mechanics and yours was really creative and it actually worked! Boss fight got a little tedious as I couldn't figure out if there was a way to aim the shots I had sucked up, but apart from that it worked very nicely. 

Cute game! But I think the controls need changing. Really difficult to keep in rhythm when you need to move up and down on the arrow keys so much. I think it would be better if you aimed at the bamboo using the mouse, then all focus of the rhythm would be on the left hand. 

Reminds me a lot of rhythm heaven, so maybe even doing swipes with the mouse at the bamboo instead of pressing keys could have been even better!

Presentation and audio is great, although there was a slight desync between the visual and audio when playing the game.
