Hey I am interested in joining this team, I specialize in 2d art and writing.
Do you have discord or is there another place where we could chat
Hey my name's Flimus
As the title says, I'm looking for a programmer that has decent amount of knowledge in Unity or in any coding software that handles well when it comes to tactical RPGs. There's no rev-share as this is a hobby project that I and my potential gam-dev partner would work on and add it to our portfolio. Your role is to receive my assets and try to piece it all together and understand the instructions on what I or we want (you can suggest some ideas if you want).
There is no deadline since I prefer things to be taken slowly and not be rushed. As I said before, you'll do the coding and the scripting while I do the art, character art, animations, etc. Now for my game idea.
To make this sound less complicated, this game is called Fearless Frats. A tactical rpg pvp game where you pick a fraternity kingdom and choose certain units that you would pick for battle. The unit classes are heavily influenced from DnD along with Fire Emblem. Your units will be in 3 battlefield categories: Striker, Protector, and Supporter. Strikers are units that are only positioned in areas farther in their territory and their purpose are to be offense and charge to the enemy's kingdom. Protectors are units that are positioned in areas closer to their territory, their kingdom. Supporters are units that can go anywhere in the map as their main purpose are to support both the strikers and the protectors. Your main task is to destroy all of the opponent's units.
I'm planning on making maps that can assist certain kingdoms or units. Each unit has their quirk/abilities and different stats so I encourage the players to experiment on how to play and be tactical with your units because the max amount of units you can play are 11: 1 Captain, 4 Supporters, 3 Protectors, and 3 Strikers (However, you can customize which amount of protectors or strikers you want for your army, a captain is required and you can't change the quantity of it.)
I believe that is all I have so say, I know this sounds a bit too ambitious but remember that I'll do most of the work in terms of art and all while you work on the coding. Very challenging for both of us but that’s the fun of making a game, plus it's the experience that counts. So if you want to contact me, here's my discord Brandoid1#1725 I can't wait to work on my first project with a programmer and make something cool out of this.
