the game installed fine, however I couldn't get it to actually launch

hello, I've been following this game for a little while and I noticed in the most recent version (0.0.3 as of this post) that both fin and tumble cannot be interacted with on day 1, despite this being the case in earlier versions and them acting like you did talk them on day 1 in their day 2 interactions, this may just be something I did wrong, but I just wanted to know if there's a way to fix this.
