Thank you so much for you kind words! Sorry you ran into sum bugs. Great that you were still able to enjoy the game <3

Hi there! What Mac OS version are you using?
It might be due to a too old or too new Mac OS version. Our support for newer OS versions is currently discontinued, unfortunately.

Thanks for reaching out and the kind words! Unfortunately there is no way to change the controls within the game. Maybe you can find a keyboard remapper tool for your operating system to adjust the key mapping to your needs. We're very sorry we can't be of big help to you.

Download the game from itch.io, unzip the folder anywhere you like, start NIVA.exe (on Windows) or NIVA.app (on Mac) and you are ready to explore the forest. Please find our system requirements above.

Unfortunately not. You will need a pc with Windows 7, 8 or 10 or Mac OS X 10 to play NIVA. Also we highly recommend using a gamepad (Xbox or Playstation Controller).

Our recommended minimum system requirements are:
Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required) or Mac OS X 10, 3 GB RAM, graphics card equivalent to ATI Radeon 5570 or NVIDIA GeForce 430 GT with 1 GB memory, approx. 1,5 GB HDD space

We also highly recommend to use a gamepad (Xbox 360/One Controller or PS 3/4 Controller) to play NIVA.

Thank you very much for playing! A part of the NIVA team is currently in early development of their game Weaving Tides (www.weavingtides.com) and they are happy about every new newsletter subscriber.

Dear NIVA players, thank you very much for all your support and comments. We appreciate your feedback and really enjoy watching the let's plays posted here.

Also some people have been wondering about update plans for NIVA, but because it was our final student project a lot of the team members have already finished studying and left the university.

However, four members of our team are staying together and form a company by the end of this year to create experiences similar to NIVA. Therefore we would be happy if you follow us on these platforms:

So stay tuned and look forward to our next game project!

Best wishes,

Team NIVA

Dear Roarar,

The game needs rather high specs to run and is sadly not optimized for weaker graphic cards. Please see recommended minimum system requirements for further information. We are very sorry if you are thus unable to play the game.

Best wishes,

Team NIVA

Thanks for your tutorial on how to use an alternative controller, using a GameCube controller to play NIVA sounds awesome!

Thanks for your kind words! :) We feel really encouraged by your review and we're happy you had a good time playing NIVA!

Herzlichen Dank fürs Spielen und für das nette Feedback! :)

Thank you very much for your nice comment, we really appreciate it!

Although some people encouraged us to offer NIVA for a small amount of money, we decided against it, not only because the game still has some teething problems and we didn't have the time to fix them within the scope of a student project, but also because we felt like offering our game for free matched our vision of the game very well. So we hope in this way we can enable as many people as possible to find a source for peace and relaxation within NIVA.

Thank you for this well summarized and nicely written article, we're flattered!

Please contact us via our website www.nivagame.com and tell us your hardware specifications and operating system and why exactly you can't play NIVA, so we can try to solve your problem.

If you don't already know how to solve the riddles, the average gameplay will be about 45min to 1h 30min, depending on how much time you take to explore the whole forest. We would be happy to be featured by you. :)

The game does not provide a save option, so you will need to redo solved riddles when reloading the game. We know this is a bit of a nuisance, but it wasn't possible to implement a save option without sacrificing a lot of our production time. So we decided against it since the game can be played through easily within one session.

Thank you for playing and for your kind words!

We are sorry, we couldn't reproduce that error. If you still have problems please contact the itch.io support or download the game directly from https://slyce.itch.io/niva.

Dear followers! Thank you for your support and all the kind words!

We wanted to let you know that we started a raffle where you can win a free custom artwork! There are two days left to participate. For details visit: facebook.com/nivagame

Thank you!! You can invert the camera in the options menu (press start/esc, select Options, check X or Y axis).

Thank you! We recommend using a gamepad (Xbox 360/One Controller or PS 3/4 Controller) to play. When using keyboard and mouse as input devices, please configure your mouse sensitivity via the system preferences of your operating system, as long as there's no option to adjust the mouse sensitivity within the game.

We will look into it. Could you please tell us your hardware specifications and which OS you are using?

Thank you for your kind words! If you look closely you might discover a group of moths flying through the darker parts of the forest towards the last riddle, but it's most likely too gentle of a guidance. We appreciate your feedback and we are very happy that you liked it that much!

[spoiler] Hi Fellowplayer, you are really close to solving the first puzzle: did you realize that there are actually already destroyed plants around the area? Please pay close attention to what is next to them and think about the ability to let the root grow wherever you want :)

Also you asked for the second puzzle in the darker forest where the animals follow the light: have you already found out why the squirrels steal the light fruits and where they bring them? Now combine that knowledge with the ability to guide the other animals from A to B.

If you have more questions feel free to ask them here!
