Next update will likely have a desktop version because of the low frame rate on HTML5. We're also aiming to get it on Android as soon as possible

Totally fair. We're still working on it (actually just made a huge amount of progress in one day that I wish I had for the jam version) and we have some ideas on making the exploration feel a lot more fun. Thank you for your opinions!

I agree with the boomerang bit, there's definitely not a lot of indication with any of the new items. We sorta skimped on the UI and stuff. We're still going to work on the game so we'll take into account the floaty jumps too, a few people have said that elsewhere.

Thank you :)

Yes I'll add the controls to the description! I'll have audio sliders in a future version.

It may be able to fill that hole once it has a lot more content, but maybe this first little tech demo will scratch the itch :)

I agree on the Metroidvania mechanics bit, we had bigger plans on introducing items better but we just didn't have enough time, haha.

I'll admit I haven't played around with game speed and feel as much as I should have, once things started working I generally moved on to the next feature. We're going to play around with it for future versions because we had so much fun working on this.

As for the Game Over screen, you have to press Enter. Sorry we didn't put a prompt there!

Thank you so much for playing :)

About

Terra Labyrinth is a side-scrolling action adventure where you must find items to make your way to the next area. It features three items, four areas, and a variety of different rooms that are randomized each time you play. One play-through should last 15-20 minutes.

Terra Labyrinth was made for Godot Wild Jam. It was developed in Godot 3.0.2. It follows the theme of evolution as you adapt to the labyrinth through new abilities. It was made in one week by fornclake and TheRetroDragon. We have many plans to expand upon this game.

We poured our souls into this game for the last seven days. Maybe it's because it's ours, but we think it's really fun to play for one or two runs. We hope you enjoy it! Let us know what you think. We're going to be turning this into a fuller game in the future.

Thank you! I can move the controls one key to the right to have X, C, V.

The character controls are made with a FSM, yea. The states are separated into sliding, swinging sword, getting hurt, dying, etc.
