hi! Thanks for your comment,

The idea was way more fun however we had to cut back a little since time was at our throats!

I think it’s a great idea to have all the controls on the mouse, I did suggest it but I think we forgot to implement it.. I also feel like it would be cooler to have that on the mouse

As to movement I think sliding suits the micro wizard ideally as he is a little slime at this stage.
As to enemy variety there was much more to be in the game that as I mentioned before we had to cut out due to not having enough time and we didn’t want to use other people’s things even if they were free to access - I really think adding some goblins or something would’ve made it more fun but drawing a goblin and all animations would’ve been much more time consuming and we had only 2 people working on the project, one if whom is myself. I don’t think jumping on enemies and using them as blocks is a good idea but maybe adding more blocks that you can use to pass through the level would’ve been better..

As to the level it is in fact not finished, I did make a few routes but failed to upload them on time sadly 😪 so I guess it’s just a trashy map, it’s like the sound, did it way to late without realising it’s past due time, so it didn’t get uploaded..

Thanks for your comment, I think I mostly enjoy making assets rather than the programming/sound parts of game creation. I totally agree with you that a week is very short, especially for one person with other responsibilities, on the current gmtk I actually got myself a programmer, so alongside the design I dont have to do as much programming :) I definitely enjoyed learning everything while making my first ever game and I believe I learned a lot ^-^

Cool game, I didnt quite understand how to beat the "boss" as i thought i could just throw the cube at him, but that didn't seem to work.. nice and simple graphics, good job!

thanks for your feedback!

The camera movement is supposed to be opposite but it does shake a little when you’re standing right in the middle.. I’m not too sure how to fix it and I’m a little scared to break the whole camera (because I kind of randomly pressed a few buttons and decided that the camera going the opposite directions is perfect as you get to see the blocks on the other side of the map and it gives you hints as to where to go next)

I did make a few sounds that I didn’t have enough time to implement, for example walking..(same goes for the walking animation, just not enough time to do it) working alone on a game with a time limit isn’t as pleasant as I thought it would be..

It’s a little sad because originally there was supposed to be a shop where you could do little upgrades with the tech but I run out of time and I wouldn’t even know where to start to make that shop 🥹

Next game jam I’m definitely not doing everything alone with little guidance of friends (hopefully!) 🥰
