We just wanted to say thank you to everyone that took part. Some great games were made throughout the jam and it's really appreciated that you all took the time to help make the jam special.

We also wanted to say a big congrats to the top 5 finalists!

We're looking to arrange a chat with the top 5 finalists for our livestream where we'll announce the winner which is taking place on the 2nd of February. If you can't be on live that's OK as we can work out getting a pre-recorded message from you too. Just drop us an email: gamebyte@socialchain.com and we'll help sort the rest.

You can also check out the Game Jam For Good website that is now live and make sure to keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram for trailers for each of the 5 finalists!

The Game Jam for Good is entering its final weekend. It's a game jam for a good cause and we have some awesome prizes up for grabs including up to £1000 worth of vouchers on the GameByte Shop! The 1st place dev/team will also receive a Logitech G Pro X Superlight Wireless Gaming Mouse and Logitech G Pro X Gaming Headset.

Theme: Climate change

These optional pieces would be appreciated but you won’t be penalised for not including them:

• Build in the Tiltify API to your game and enable donations made on the Tiltify platform to affect gameplay.
• Add #BRCGameJam to the description of the game
• A link to the British Red Cross Climate Work
• A description of what the British Red Cross does to support communities affected by the changing climate. You can find out more at https://www.redcross.org.uk/climate

The top 5 voted games will be shown on a livestream on GameByte, where the 1st place winner will be picked.

I just thought I'd make a thread about the prizes for the game jam. We're trying to finalise a few cool extra prizes but here is the bulk of what we have for all of you wonderful people that take part in the game jam.

Game jam:

The top 5 games will be shown off on GameByte's channels and GameByte's Facebook page during a live stream where the winner will be picked. During this live stream, a winner will be picked.

For the winner there is up to £1000 worth of vouchers available to spend on the GameByte Shop!

Fundraising:

There are also some rewards for those of you that want to get involved with fundraising for the event. Details on how to do that can be found on the game jam main page and by heading to the Game Jam For Good Tiltify page. 

Fundraising rewards are:

- If you raise over £50, you will receive an exclusive Game Jam for Good pin badge

- If you raise over £200, you will receive an exclusive unisex organic cotton t-shirt with the Game Jam for Good print.

-  If you raise over £1,000, GameByte and the panel will provide your team with mentorship to help you develop your game further.

The top fundraising team will receive a bundle of exclusive Game Jam for Good  merch, as well as £50 per person to spend on shop.GameByte.com (check rules of the game jam for team size rules).
