Sounds like something that will come in handy. We already have a writer on the team with a degree in German, and I speak it myself, so it seems likely that we'll do a translation into German at some point. Hi, my name is PixelBro and I'm the only programmer in GameCult. Aetheria is a somewhat longer-term project but we'd like to get a self-contained game featuring the combat and ship customization mechanics into player's hands ASAP, we're hoping to get that out the door this month, so FFS2021 seems like an appropriate target!

Here's what the game looks like right now, with the level generation, inventory management and locomotion working nicely. As you can see, there's no audio whatsoever! That's definitely something we need to fix.

Right now I'm working on the combat system, which is heavily inspired by the Mechwarrior franchise while expanding on those mechanics with a broader variety of weapon and damage types, mapped weapon penetration, and a novel heat management system which simulates heat spreading throughout your ship, affecting each equipped item independently.

The plan is to create a couple of simple procedurally-generated scenarios for the player, starting with a wave-based survival mode and eventually scenarios like convoy escort, infiltration and station attack.

Due to unforeseen circumstance (major crash / system loss during crunch), the amazing production I have been working on did not make the deadline. I notice there are not many submissions. Is the contest still being judged with turnout so low?
