Thank you so much for this comment! I'm really glad you liked this game.

I did my best to depict the cult somewhat realistically (aside from supernatural elements) because I feel it's important to understand why someone might join a cult and why it's hard to leave.

There isn't an ending where the MC can escape (unfortunately because in their situation it's nearly impossible). However there is an alternate ending that'll answer your question (in regards to why their god let's the priest get away with it). There was a small hint given in the main ending, but it could understandably be missed.

I don't know if you want to find the alternate ending on your own, but I will leave a hint, and how to get it below so you can keep scrolling if you just want to know.

The alternate ending is gained by getting "god" to like you/MC a lot. (I'll say how to do this below, if you want to figure it out on your own then don't scroll down)

The way to get the most points is to worship as much as possible, so click on the altar multiple times during the chores and in the isolation room at every opportunity. And provided I didn't accidentally mess up the code, it should work.

Thank you! The picture actually did help

I updated the downloadable file, so you can download them again. If you load a previous save, use one from before the player is brought into the sermon room for the ritual. And if you run into any more issues please tell me.

And thank you so much for playing. I'm really glad you liked it and hearing you're excited about future games gave me a big motivation boost.

Thank you so much! It means a lot that you liked it so much despite the error

I think I found the problem and it worked when I tested it. I just updated the downloadable files you can redownload them. (Tho if you load from a save, you should use one from before the player is brought in for the ritual)

And thank you for the offer, I'll keep it in mind.

If you run into anymore errors please let me know

Thank you!

Sorry about the errors. I was rushing to get this done on time to submit

Thank you for telling me, and thank you for playing

Thank you! I'm glad that it made you happy. Reading this comment made my day

I was able to save when I tested it out, so it might be something on your end.

From looking it up, it seems it might be a permissions issue or an issue when trying to open it on the itch.io desktop app (mac) (in that situation opening the game directly from the desktop worked).  I don't know if this will help, but I can't find anymore solutions at the moment

I'm glad you like him! And to be honest, I'd probably be the  same if I was played this

I'm really glad you liked Shimil so much! I spent a whole month before the yan jam crafting him and his backstory, and I feel really proud of how he turned out.

I remember about half-way through development I realized how many bad endings there were for him and felt bad for him, but at that point it was too late to add or remove anything to make time to make another good ending.

But I would like to imagine in some timeline he's met someone who truly understands him and make him happy.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it and happy you liked my writing and OC

I'm really glad you liked it! It makes me really happy to know you enjoyed it so much.

To be honest, one non-con nsfw needs a specific requirement (getting him to like you enough and attacking him while he's sleeping the first night, then it'll take place the next night), and the other is implied non-consensual somnophilia that might be hard to catch (when the player rejects his advances the second night). I thought there was more, but when I checking the code I realized there's apparently not.

Thank you for playing! I'm really glad you're having fun. And I had fun watching your video. Thank you for taking the time to make it and share it with me.

I noticed a few bugs I had missed in the game when watching your video. It's a little embarrassing, but I'm glad that it didn't seem to effect your enjoyment.

I had planned to make a walk through for getting the endings and your comment reminded me to make it. It's now posted in a devlog if you'd like to look at it.

Thank you! I'm glad you like it, and I know what you mean. I felt so bad putting some of those mean options in there.

And no, there is currently no walkthrough to get all of the endings yet. At least none that I've made, there are currently only hints in the endings menu. I was planning to make a walkthrough at some point in the future, but at the current moment I'm on vacation and will probably only write and post that when I get home in about a week.

Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed it

Thank you!

I did my best to catch as many errors as I could, but I was running behind and obviously didn't have enough time to catch all of them. But I'm very glad it didn't hinder your enjoyment and ability to play.

And the implication I was trying to give with that hint was that you need to make him go out to get things for you enough times that he becomes tired and is in a deeper sleep from the all the work. I could give two recommendations on how to more easily achieve this, but you might like to figure out the best method on your own, so I won't unless you ask.

Thank you so much for playing this.

Thank you! Snake bois are great. I'm glad I got to make a game with one

Thank you! I'm glad you did

No definite plans for anything yet. Today I dusted off an old project I hadn't worked on in a while, but I can't say for certain if that's what I'll work on next or how long it'll take.

Thank you so much for playing this. I'M glad you liked it!
