Looks amazing! Do you have a link to buy the rom only version? Can't wait to play the full version on original hardware

Is there a rom version of this to download? thanks!

Great game! Thanks for making and sharing

Really good :) Hoping for more...

Great work! Maybe you could remap the web version to match a GB's layout? So, B maps to Z and A maps to X. Would make it consistent with real hardware :)

This is one of the best platformers I've seen so far for the GB... reminds me a lot of Super Meatboy! Love the instant respawning, the game flows so well.

That was as harrowing as it was great - Amazing work :)

Loving it so far.  The style is great!

I noticed your reddit post in the r/gbstudio was auto removed, like so many others... not sure what is going on with mods there but the automod bots removed so much stuff without informing anyone as to why... check out Reveddit and you'll see your post was removed without any notice... it will still show in your history like it went live but, no, it was deleted... I'm trying to reach out to the subreddit mods but haven't had any reply yet...

Keep up the amazing work :)

Thanks for getting back to me :)

It's your game after all, do what feels right :)

I was just mentioning it incase it was an error.  I like to match the buttons on a real GB as that's how I play all these games so anything else feels wrong to me!

Keep up the great work, thanks for all the entertainment!

Yeah, the A button does interact but, to match a real game boy, A should be mapped to X and B should be mapped to Z, if that makes sense?

I had a look and GB Studio maps the buttons as you have it by default, I wonder why.  Easy to get used to but it is a little confusing switching from playing in the browser to using a real GB.

Looks awesome, will try it out.

Shouldn't A be mapped to X and B be mapped to Z though? So it matches the real Game Boy?

Looks great! Just started playing on my GB. The button mapping is the wrong way round in the browser though :) A and B should be swapped to match the B A layout of the GB :)

Thanks for the follow up, the version I'm playing was purchased from incube8, is that the latest version? Sadly there is no version number in the file name so I'm not sure which one I'm using here :)

Looks like Z is mapped to the A button and X is mapped to the B button when it should be the other way round to match the Game Boy :)

Just started a new game and noticed some minor spelling errors, what's the best way to feed those back?

For example - when you speak to the old lady Gretchin on the bench she says "in a beter place now" when it should be "better"

is it the latest 2.2 version?

Would love to buy the rom for this so I can play via a romcart on my GB... can't afford boxed copies of games that just sit on a shelf, please tell me you sell the rom? :)

Very useful, thank you.  Took me a while to realise the controls are backwards compared to a real Game Boy :) (Should be Z = B and X = A to match)

Assuming Z = B, X = A, Enter = Start and Shift = Select.... no matter what I pick, it just says "This might work" or "This is a bad choice" (even picking Exit says this). Unsure if this is how it's supposed to work in the example :)

Awesome, thanks for letting me know

Fun game! Is there a downloadable rom for real hardware?

(1 edit)

Please tell me this will be released as a rom download when it's finished? It would be such a shame to limit to physical only...I'm willing to bet you'd make much more money selling digital as well as physical too, as well as getting your game played by way more people. Thanks!

edit - I should read all the comments before posting :) Looks like digital release is coming, hurray!

Can the full rom be bought somewhere? Would happily pay for the full game in rom form
