Because it does funky stuff with windows

I think what's going on with both quit and the end of the game is that the application terminated, but in the browser version that just makes it freeze up.

I suggest the the first thing anyone does when playing is go to options and change the key bindings as 1. the game never explains the controls and 2. the defaults suck. I set movement to the arrows, jump to up, blood drain to down, and dash to c. Once you get the sorted out the game is pretty fun. I never figured out what the down-arrow meter does though, I never saw it drain.

I was playing the version on https://chesslike.net/ . If that's not the most recent version tell me. Anyway, I didn't spam click through dialogue, but I had several issues elsewhere. The first was going back upstairs during the intro led to a permanent black screen that requires restarting the game. The next issue I recall was the control interface never returned after trying to enter the castle too early when the party requirements dialogue popped up, but that could be fixed by returning to the main menu.  Other things like that occurred at other times. The one that did me in though was after completely the "battle" with Bishoff where you put out the campfire. It just seemed the trigger for the next battle was never enabled, so nothing could be done except exploring the big, empty world from there one.

I've seen people misidentify this as roguelike, probably due to the name. It's actually a tactical roleplaying game with a chess theme.  Anyway, I found the current version of the game to be too buggy to be playable, but I do like the idea so I'm following this.

I wish there was a checkpoint after the bridge, if there was I might have made it through the game.
