Thank you for the comment!
The intention for the boss was to left click to "parry" when they throw the ball at you, to throw back an enhanced shot, but I recognize, that we should have put some indicators!
I appreciate you recording your playthrough as well!

I haven't looked too much at it yet myself, but a friend told me about https://freesound.org/

Game Maker said 76 hours, but there was alot of times where I left it on in the background while I did other stuff and when I figured something out or had an idea I went back into it.

There is a lot of stuff I wish I did better during this game jam. I wasn't really aware of free assets to use especially sounds and music, so I put it on the backburner and then never got around to adding it. Making it more visually appealing would also be up there on things I want to plan for better next time.

I started learning Game Maker Studios when the jam started, and made a game called Bread Fling (https://garbagelord.itch.io/bread-fling)
The main goal was learning the basics and I'm really proud of how much I was able to learn and figure out!
Very fun and educational jam!

This was the first game jam for me as well! I really enjoyed learning how to code it all and figuring out how to add cool ideas and mechanics! Overall a great experience!
