Okay. I'm getting close to being finished with the quick start. I should be done in a couple days. Sorry if I'm a bit unconfident. I just haven't done anything like this so maybe I'm making it a bigger deal than it ought to be.

I've been racking my brain, but I can't really think of anything particularly ragy or queer. I just keep coming back to metaphorical nonsense that really feels off the mark.

My latest idea is a ttrpg where players are mice being oppressed by horrible giant humanoids and being forced to live in small communities to prevent rebellion. The house is infinite and inescapable. The members of the mice communities can only meet in secret lest they be assailed by the humanoids.

The magic system is based around a mist that allows the mice to disguise themselves and create tools and pathways to meet with each other. The mist is ever present, but high mice priests are to prevent the use of this magic in such ways. They can use their own magic to dispel the mist.

Anyway the point of the game is to work in secret to help other communities survive in this household as food is always short, monsters lurk in the mist, and communities are always paranoid due to spies on the side of the high priests.

Anyway, I feel like I'm making progress, but something feels off. Any thoughts? Is this too off for the jam?

Was there something you wanted to do. I was hoping to do some ttrpg stuff. If you're in the same boat maybe we could collab.

Sorry about your situation. I hope you and your partner are safe and have the opportunity to prosper wherever you've ended up. I don't really any money to help with, but maybe if I sell something for your jam we can set something up for you to get the money? I'm only doing this to add something to my portfolio anyway.
