Hello Adnan, it looks like this game has been submitted to multiple jams and/or was a project that existed before our Game Jam started.
We require all game projects to be created for our jam. This means that we expect everyone to take the "theme" of the jam and, using that theme as a guide, create something within the time-span of the jam.
If you would like your pre-existing game to be submitted to our game jam, there are extra requirements to follow:
- You must provide a way to play your game as it existed before the start of the game jam, it will be compared against your submission version.
- You must include the following disclaimer (or something equivalent) on your submission page: "GDEX GAME JAM 2024 DISCLAIMER -- This game existed before the game jam began; the theme was (THEME) and this is how I incorporated that theme: (EXPLANATION OF YOUR EFFORTS DURING THE WEEK OF THE JAM)"
We reserve the right to withdraw your submission if you do not meet these requirements by the end of the submission period, and/or if we do not hear from you about it either within the next 48 hours, whichever comes first.
We hope you understand; we used to have our Game Jams in-person, and even though we're online, it's very important for the integrity of our game jam that everyone is actually "jamming" together at the same time, and with the mentality of being part of the game jam.
