This was a short and sweet title that I had fun playing through. The idea of battling with music is cool and the protagonist with a guitar in a setting of demons feels very rock and roll, although the music was more orchestral. As soon as I realized I was brining a band together I seen how on theme it was and I enjoyed my time with it. The purple demon kept tripping me up, lol
The art and concept of the game were in equal parts cute and quirky.
I felt as though I inadvertently came up against an exploit where the table was full of people who didnt mind how long I took to rewind their tape, and I raked in about $100 dealing with customers who were in more a hurry while others waited patiently. No concept of queuing, I would have been furious :P (I did see the description noted a bug like this so not to worry)
I had fun with this and would be interested to see it develop further.
Overall I had a really good time with this game.
it has really lovely art, and cleverly designed puzzles. (that are certainly not easy)
the tutorial message was a little long at the start, and I was still very confused at first, I hit spacebar and got through the first level, I didnt know why.
after I got the hang of it I really started enjoying it, I felt smart when I got through a level and thats what a good puzzle game should do.
I played for like 30 minutes overall, seriously good amount of content for a week, felt like an idea that has a lot of potential to expand. I played the levels in order and got stuck on North Montana.
Great job to you both.
Really strong first impression with the title screen and music
this continued throughout, the presentation and polish is great
I really like the obstacle that captures the light for a few seconds before it breaks out, and the exclamation marks that indicate incoming enemies - thats good details
the theme is handled very well, has a lot of replay value.
Nailed it.
This frustratingly evil game is one of the highlights from this jam. I haven't been able to beat it yet due to how much it seems to require precise platforming skills, but it makes great use of simple graphics, a beautiful soundtrack, and some strong game mechanics and turns them in a truly awesome way to tell a story about love.
