Pls consider adding this idea to your bucket list, I think it would be awesome if a brawler build was doable in this game, but fists only deal a max of like 3 dmg even if you're very high level in strength

There's also no way to bring the AI's fear meter down, except letting them punch you. The thing is, if they're already so scared that they won't even try fighting back, the game is essentially a punching bag simulator since there's no way to make them less scared again. You could add a key that makes the player "taunt" to increase the frequency of their attacks. Also PLS increase stamina regen by at least 20 times
The AI keeps spamming blocks and wastes all its stamina doing this. When I waste all my stamina the game is soft-locked as there's no way to get stam back. Walk animations are very jank, you let the key go and it still plays the animation despite you standing still. If the AI uses up all its stamina then it gets stuck in a blocking loop forever. The game is about baiting the AI to punch so you can land a "cross-counter". The more you hit the AI the more "scared" it gets, reducing how often they punch. Except if you punch them even once they get so scared that they literally never punch you again.
Really fun game!! If you're taking suggestions, I have a few:
1. A toggleable minimap showing the layout, current position, and the position of your mining robots and lasers. Also, a keybind that opens the entire map up. (With fog of war, of course)
2. A drone facility that basically zooms your screen out when interacted with and lets you look around the areas you've already cleared. While in this mode, you can spend 100 electronics and scrap to move laser towers from one point to the other (when you select it and then move it elsewhere, a little "Amazon drone" shows up, snatches it, and plops it down on the other spot). Moving the towers around is a chore once you've cleared out much of the base.
3. A bomb storage which increases your max bomb cap by 2 per storage built
4. Bomb drone. A drone that moves along the layout's perimeter and stops once it reaches a tile that needs a bomb to be destroyed. It stays there and attempts to use a bomb off the player's storage. If it succeeds, the bomb is planted, and once it sees no more bombable tiles adjacent to it, it proceeds to move along the perimeter again to repeat the process. If there are no bombs in storage, it sits at that spot, waiting until there's an available bomb. (Suggesting this bc a lot of times my bombs sat at the maximum value, 5, and this way, they can be used more efficiently while automating the process)
5. Make it so you can scrap laser towers.
Fantastic sprite work and animations!! Entertaining 20-second game. It would be cool if the timer duration and the boxer's health were adjustable :)
Edit: Also, I feel like you shouldn't be able to block forever... Had a match where the Ai got my hp to be below theirs, and then blocked for 10 seconds straight and won since I couldn't deal any real damage
For those of you wondering, the creator hasn’t updated his website or been activate around deviantart and FA since 2019. He is active around his Twitter, but he seems to have completely stopped mentioning AKB and AKB: Southpaw (another project of his). So yes, this has been abandoned along with Southpaw, and there will never be a release date, unfortunately. I really enjoyed this Demo and definitely would purchase the full thing if it ever came out, really sad to see a good project go to waste.
