Note blocks are quite hard to time the right jump, is there a trick?

There is an application available on Windows 10 store called "antimicro". It allows you to hook up a controller and bind keyboard keys to the controller.
When I first started the application and bound all the keys needed, it didn't work. I noticed a text at the bottom of the Antimicro application that stated "If your game isn't recognizing the inputs, run this application in "Administator mode" which i proceeded to do. Every key i mapped worked like a charm!
