I know this game came out a couple years ago but I just managed to get my hands on a physical copy and wow what a ride - I typically am not a fan of the Wretched and Alone system but this was phenomenally done. Truly had trouble falling asleep after playing it some nights because my own imagination scared me. Clearly a sign of excellent world building and design. The combination of literal horror and psychological thriller was really well done through the prompts.

I appreciate the afterword as well, I’m going to have to look up some more information on the lighthouse it was based on. Thanks very much for your work on this!

Thanks for your comment, I’m glad the theme was new and interesting! A low ink version is definitely a good idea. I’ll work on adding that, thanks for the suggestion

Found this game on a whim and so glad I did. What a great concept, and I loved the addition of the audio. I really liked the very eerie (yet fascinating) ambiance. It made for a unique playthrough where I felt both haunted and intrigued to dive deeper.

Also very cool that during both runs I was never myself, and ended up "waking up" without ever knowing who my character actually was. Nicely thought out and well done!

This is such a nice comment, I'm so happy you enjoyed the game. Thanks for playing it!

And good question–I intended on players drawing one card per act, but I suspect it also might work if players try to draw multiple cards. Definitely info to include in the future.

Very fair! Thanks for your comment, I agree that some of it probably is a little rough and ready, especially considering I don't have a lot of experience designing games. Act III is certainly an overly simplified version of a dissection–that could likely be a whole game on its own. Perhaps in future versions I'll hash it out a bit more to contain different steps or focus on systems rather than individual organs, but for this version I wanted to focus more on the impacts and implications of the dissection rather than the dissection itself.

Thanks very much for your comment! It's interesting reading your session report. Frederick does seem a little naive, but it sounds like he believes he's doing things for the best. I'm glad you thought the game was interesting and hopefully a little thought-provoking. It's definitely a topic I'm passionate about–thanks for checking it out!

What a beautiful game and perfect for encouraging player creativity and world building! I'm relatively new to solo RPGs but this was such an amazing place to start. It was actually a very meditative experience and got me back into writing (which I haven't done in a while!)

I particularly enjoyed the audio file narration/introduction to the rules. I'm definitely hoping to spend some more time exploring the concept with the different artefacts and stories, and hopefully getting some of my friends into the game it as well.

Also wanted to comment because I really appreciate the community copies that were stocked a while back - I'd heard about the game on reddit and was very lucky to get a copy, so I truly appreciate the creator and those who funded them. It gave me the opportunity to spend a great night storytelling - thank you!

Lots of fun and gorgeous art!! The world building is impressive, especially for such a short adventure. Still plenty of replay potential–I'm excited to see where the next chapters take the story!
