THE SUN IS DEAD.
Since turning into a Red Giant, the Earth has experienced unprecedented cataclysmic damage. It is burning, and life as we know it is at risk. Experts estimate that the Earth will be utterly barren in thirty years, but humans are determined to survive.
Pockets of humanity exist worldwide in camps and compounds, all competing for Earth’s limited resources. In this game, you play as one of these camps, striving for survival. You represent the Camp as a whole rather than as an individual. You aim to send out survivors to track, hunt, and collect resources while upgrading your Camp’s gear and fortifying its defenses to ensure survival against enemy camps encroaching on your territory.
OVERVIEW
Before the Sun Fades is a tactical skirmish game with light campaign elements. It has six sessions (known as Months), each lasting around 30 minutes. A Month consists of three phases: Camp, Catch, and Combat. The game starts with Month 0, a prologue, and ends with Month 5, the final boss fight.
OBJECTIVE
You have five months to prepare and fortify your Camp's defenses against an enemy Camp encroaching on your territory. Hunt, eliminate, and collect resources. Use these resources to upgrade your Camp and gear. You must defeat Hazmat, the leader of the enemy camp, and your Camp needs to survive with at least one population to win.
