Hello world! I’m a 26yo IT developer and university student from Italy. I write here because I would like to develop a 2D, 16bit, Zelda-like Action RPG game. I have 1+ year of experience with GameMaker, work as a developer (mainly front-end), and love coding!

My idea is to work in our free time, as a hobby, and start developing the essential aspects of the game, a small world with few maps, a first dungeon, and after this, maybe release a demo, if it’s appreciated, we continue the development and make a real game. So no hurry, we can work step by step.

I’m especially looking for a pixel artist to work with! But also someone who helps with the main story, dialogues and dungeons would help a lot!

If you want some examples of styles I’m looking for, take a look at those pics:

example 1 example 2 example 3 example 4 example 5

example 6 example 7 example 8 example 9 example 10

No need to start drawing all tilesets from scratch, if you can draw in a similar style, we could start using those tilesets.

If you are interested in collaborating with me, please reply here or contact me on discord 😊 Discord: ghostwolf#5364

Hi ^^ the project on yoyogames should have the same files inside, anyway, if you send me your email (on Discord or via mail) I can verify the purchase and send you a link to claim this asset pack

Updated to v3.0 ^^

Oh I’ve already fixed it (and is now more efficient and compatible with more outfits), when have some free time I’ll make a package and publish it, I’m sorry for the inconvenience

I know someone really good (not me), could be a little bit expensive but his art is wonderful Discord: ghostwolf#5364

I’m also looking for a team to develop exactly the same kind of game xD

What engine are you using?

Hi ^^ I’m still looking for a team to develop an ARPG game (similar to Trials of Mana / Zelda).

If you want to take a look at some assets I’ve released this is my profile page: https://ghostwolf-games.itch.io/

I’m looking for:

  • pixel artist/animator (I’m currently using Mana Seed asset packs, but need some edits)
  • writer/designer (someone to write the main story/quests, and design game maps)

Discord: ghostwolf#5364

Hi, yeah it’s the same setup, but if you’re developing an HTML5 game you’ll probably have to allow CORS (cross-origin requests), if you need some help text me on Discord ^^

Yes, if you click “run asset pack” you can try the HTML version exported with GameMaker Web

Thank you! ^^ I’m sorry but I developed it from scratch and without tutorials. Anyway if you need an inventory that better fits your needs I’m free the next week and I could accept a commission!

I never used Scribble, I don’t know if it’s compatible, I’m sorry

I haven’t wrote a license yet, but yes, you’re free to use all my assets as you want, just one limitation: don’t share or resell the code please

up!

I tried it just with the Windows version, so yes

Yes, I developed it with GMS 2.3 and the GML implementation is very basic, lots of work is done by PHP

Sure! I’ve just updated the project, you can edit the max items in stack editing the var “max_item_per_type” inside “obj_farm_inventory_setting”

This is a stand-alone inventory (like my “Farm Inventory”), it could work with all my systems, but you should write the part of code to make them interacting together (for example to check the equipped item before harvesting, fishing, etc..)

Thank you!

Yes, I take them, but I’m currently busy with 2 others commissions ^^ I definitely would like to release a weather system as soon as possible, but I’ll check out and update some of my asset packs before releasing it :)

Hello, all ^^ I’m a 25yo IT university student from Italy.

I write here because I would like to develop a 2D, 16/8bit, monster-catching RPG and Pokemon-like game, I started coding a basic inventory and a battle system.

My idea is to start developing the basic aspects of the game, a small world with few maps, and some monsters to catch.. after this, we could release a demo, and if it’s appreciated, we can continue the development and make the real game. By the way, I love coding, so I can continue the development also if doesn’t be very successful xD

I’m not so good with story writing, so if you feel comfortable you could help writing it down, otherwise, I’m studying some books about game design and I’ll try to do my best!

I’m especially looking for pixel artists! If you want some examples of styles I’m looking for, take a look here:

https://gavinandpiano.itch.io/contemporary-gameboy-rpg-assets https://limezu.itch.io/serenevillage https://limezu.itch.io/serenevillagerevamped

(I would like a sort of graphic similar to GBA or GBC, I love both!)

No need to start drawing all tilesets from scratch, if you’re able to draw in a similar style we could start using some ready-to-use tilesets.

In the last few months I’ve released some scripts and template projects on itch.io, if you would like to take a look, you can find them here: https://ghostwolf-games.itch.io/

If you are interested to know more, or you would like to collaborate with me, please reply here or contact me on discord 😊

Thank you :)

Davvero bella e nostalgica! Complimenti :)

Very nice asset pack :) I love your style Do you plan to make playable characters and enemies?

Hello, I use GMS2, and I’m looking for someone to collaborate in a Zelda-like ARPG game. If you’re interested, this is my Discord: ghostwolf#5364

Oh, I’m sorry for the issue, all positions are fixed with coordinates, if you have Discord I can help you to temporarily fix it, anyway I want to remake this asset from scratch (at the end of next month, I’m a little bit busy in this period) with ds_maps that are more efficient, so I’ll make all coordinates sprite-based. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Hello, I started developing this game in RPG Maker MV, and I would like to re-develop it from scratch using GameMaker (due to RPG Maker’s limitations), so I haven’t an engine ready yet, I’m sorry. About the farm assets, I plan to merge all together and make a “farm engine” in the future, if commitments allow me.

Hahaha xD sure! but if you have any urgent question feel free to contact me via Discord :)

Really nice asset pack :) love it

Hello, all ^^ I’m a 25yo IT university student from Italy.

I write here because I would like to develop a 2D, 16bit, Zelda-like Action RPG game, and after I have made some experience with Game Maker, I feel ready to start a serious project.

In the last few months I’ve released some scripts/template project on itch.io while I was learning how to use Game Maker, you can find them here: https://ghostwolf-games.itch.io/

And in the last few days, I started a remake of Zelda Minish Cap (just for fun) If you are interested to know more, or you would like to collaborate with me, please reply here or contact me on discord 😊

I’m looking for programmers, pixel artists, or writers to develop an awesome ARPG game!

Thank you so much!

For example, I made this for a project I’ve started a few months ago:
