Hi, I have quite a bit of spare time, so I decided to make this post for anybody who needs any stylized artwork or music for their game. I make simplistic cartoon drawings and occasionally can dabble into anime styles. I also make 8-bit/MIDI songs using BoscaCeoil. I don't do it professionally or anything, it's just a hobby. My discord is glazedgames.

What kind of music are you looking for? I've made a few MIDI/8-bit soundtracks using BoscaCeoil. I would be glad to help out if that's the kind of music you are looking for. I can send you some of my work on discord: glazedgames.

I already have an idea of what my game is going to be about. I just need some music and enemy artwork. If you're interested, you can contact me on discord.

Hello! Thank you so much for the criticism, this really helps us make better games in the future! I do admit a lot of this game was unfortunately rushed, and a lot of planned content was cut in order to make the jam deadline. There are several bugs, features, and tweaks that I plan to make or fix in future non-game-jam versions of the game.

However, I would like to say no third-party engines/templates were used to make the game. The engines used to create this game were Clickteam Fusion 2.5 as the main engine, Scratch for the art, and BoscaCeoil was used for music made by me and Vanouper. I'm not exactly sure what Mark used to make his music.  Difficulty balancing is definitely a planned update for the future because I haven't even beat hard mode yet personally and I made the game. As for the story, the Dragon Master does appear again as the Stage 4 boss, although this is never explicitly mentioned in the game. I plan to add boss names near the bottom of the screen similar to Dark Souls, so you actually know who you're fighting. I might also try to make some of the bosses a bit less tanky since I personally felt it was a bit tedious.  You're absolutely right about the hitbox thing because it does exist but its barely noticeable since it's the same color as the character.

If you have any other suggestions that you would like us to implement in future games or a remastered version, you can let us know! We are very open to new ideas to help diversify and improve our games. We will make sure to keep your criticisms in mind for future games. Anyways, thanks for the review! :D

Yeah, me and Vanouper (The other creator of this universe) are actually trying to kickstart this universe again with a series of games and comics. I believe he is actually releasing another game, Bimmy: The Wolves, sometime this week. If you have any cool ideas or anything, you can let one of us know. Our minds are very open to ideas!

No clue if you are still even remotely interested but several things related to this game/universe actually did "see the light of day".

Bimmy Collection

The Speedman

DOW

Yeah, I just haven't gotten around to working on it recently. It should pick back up during the summer. My motivation has been on and off, but I am determined to finish it, whether it's in 2024 or 2028.

Thank you for your feedback! As for the boss music. literally everybody says my music is boss music lol, I just physically cannot make calm music no matter how much I try. I added in the path because I was originally planning on a town area where you could buy stuff but then I realized that I would not have enough time to do that so the path just kind of... ends abruptly. I probably could've had it loop around but I was too lazy to make more path sprites at the time. I'll definitely be sure to add sound effects though if I update the game after the jam ends. Might also add simple enemies that get in your way.

1. Yeah, that is 100% intentional. While the story can viewed on its on, I actually created it as a starting point for a possibly even bigger project based on a huge universe I already have ready. The story in this game is told through visual easter eggs, implications, and text at the end of the game that can be interpreted many ways.

2. Yeah, I should probably fix that if I rerelease the game.

3. Beepbox for the music, Sfxr for the sound effects.

4. I can probably fix that in a rerelease too.

5. Thanks! I took some inspiration from some other games (like Dark Souls) to create the health bar.

6. Well, it was originally gonna make you restart the entire game. Maybe I could add 3 difficulties. Easy (restart the current phase) Medium (Go back a level) Hard (Restart the entire game).

Thanks for your review! I will definitely be sure to add some of your suggestions in future non-gamejam releases of the game.

Oh yeah, also, I should state this in the game's description, but there's 6 phases including the tutorial.
