Just wanted to drop by to say that i came back to the game after not playing for a few months, and i was surprised to see that something i used to call "active shielding" was not working anymore. I looked through the changedog.txt, and turns out, about 9 updates ago, version 1.164:
- Fixed pretty dumb bug causing player shield to overcharge whenever it charges to full
Kinda disappointed, since i totally thought it was a feature. I would take risks, taking lots of damage, to receive an increased amount of extra "active shielding" when i was back at full. It even had a neat graphic effect of a shield around the ship, but i guess that's the end of that, huh? Made for a neat little mechanic to be honest, but oh well. Dumb bug, dumb player, it seems.
