are you sure you put it in the correct order?

you need to point the compass in the directions that can be found on the stone. But you have to do it in reverse order as indicated by the arrow

there are several spots some are good some are bad. you should only choose one of those

you can either do the good way(raise the green bar) or the bad way(raise the red bar). To achieve this there are multiple parts that you have to stimulate(not just one). you probably didnt find every "good" part

theres more to the code then just the directions. Try to look closely
