Hi, I'm Gogglespeak! Goggles is fine though. I live in the UK, in a house full of game-design nerds (several of whom are also participating).
2. Did you participate in the last jam we held? If so, what do you plan on doing better this time? If not, what's your reason for joining
Nope! This is my first. Mostly I want to motivate myself to actually finish a solo project for once.
3. What games are your favorites? Did any of them inspire you, or made you want to make your own?
Oh wow, so many. I have a soft spot for RTS games (Warcraft 3 being my personal favourite), but I'll play anything as long as it does something interesting. Recently I've been sinking a lot of time into Duelyst.
4. Do you have experience with game development? What did you do/with what engine?
Kinda. Most of my real experience is actually in making and running tabletop/live action/real-world escape room games. My current job is running escape rooms. That being said I've barely touched video game dev in quite some time (mostly due to developing mental health problems at University).
5. Tell us about something you're passionate about!
Games doing something different, making people think, or teaching people something.
