The art is absolutely fantastic. The movements look fluid and convey a lot of character (mainly 'coolness'). The heavily aliased pixel art backgrounds are also a very nice touch and give the game a vibe. It felt nice to control most of the time, but I did get stuck on walls a few times and falling despite just barely being close to the ground. The camera was also flipping back and forth and it was disorienting. Good game.
Yeah this game was pretty good, I really liked the movement and the art and music was fantastic. The controls tutorial was confusing because it seems like it was implying that the player could use arrow keys and ZXCV or something, but in fact not enough buttons were mapped to allow for arrow keys controls. The levels do get harder to navigate as they get larger since many platforms are off screen. Overall, good game.
The camera movement is awesome, it gave a strong cinematic feel to the game (reminding me of RE1). The music is so very intense for the moment, and honestly im here for it. Moving around furniture feels awkward and the guy jitters around a lot when trying to move. I think I ran over every spike in the game.
The music gives the tomb a windy, hollow feeling, a sensation of always being on edge and one step away from an ancient trap. The aesthetic of the game is cool and the separate rooms give a good sense of place in the game. It would be very helpful to have more in game tutorialization for game mechanics like the crossbow.
Man this game is hard lol. The ideas are cool, I think a grappling hook movement game is cool (have you played Neon White?). In general this game has some bones but is severally lacking in muscle tissue. The ground movement is sluggish and the grappling hook is uncomfortable and doesn't line up with the terrain. The level design is also hard to navigate. I do like the momentum you get from the grapple hook.
