Lights in the Sky is a short exploration horror/sci-fi game made in one week about investigating the disappearence of a team of scientists and finishing their work, with beautiful music and retro visuals. Also, aliens! The game is about 10-20 minutes long and was mostly made using the unity asset store in 7 days.

It’s also my first ever finished game and even though it’s a little janky in places I couldn’t be more proud of it, in all honesty. If you’ve got a spare half hour, please give it a shot!

Update 3/September 2021: I have found someone to work with, thank you all for your interest :) It's very appreciated!
Hi Everyone!

Portfolio

I'm an artist with a few small game concepts I'd like to bring to life over the next few months - but unfortunately, I don't know enough about programming to get a game off the ground for myself.

The project this post mentions is a small, 2D visual novel/tamagotchi style horror game centred around looking after a witch's garden while she's away for the week. The game will hopefully have a few endings and secrets hidden around, but there's nothing set in stone for now, except for the basic concept!

As I said, I don't know much about programming, so I'm not entirely sure how big of an ask this is, haha: so if this is actually a massive ask, please let me know!

For me, this will be a portfolio building project - I'm not working yet, so I'm not sure if I would be able to offer payment (will update if this changes). What I can offer is equal revenue share and, of course, a main credit on the game!If you're interested, contact me - and maybe include some samples of stuff you've done, if you have any! I put the engines I know some stuff about in the title, but if you use something else and think it will still work, feel free :)

Thanks for any input, I'm still quite new here! Hope to hear from anyone interested soon!

Haha, same here! I'm not very good but I can sort of make things move :) Checked your instagram - love your stuff, by the way!

Hi Guys!
2D Artist Working For Experience, Pay or Interest
Portfolio and CV

Hey everyone; this is my first post here! I'm an aspiring game artist looking to work with some talented devs to build my portfolio. I'm hoping to eventually work independantly on my own games, but I'd like to spend some time with more experience developers first to get a feel for the indie game development process! I'd also like to help out with narrative design/writing, if any help is needed in that department!

I'm Most Interested in Working on these Types of Games

  • RPG
  • Visual Novel
  • Artsy
  • Horror
  • Cutesy / Sparkly
  • Anything Involving Monsters and Giant Creatures

I Don't Do

  • NSFW (Gore is Fine)
  • Complex Mechs
  • Cars

Important Information

  • I am most easily contactable on my email ( martine.artanddesign@gmail.com ) but I'll be checking here daily.
  • Willing to work for pay, experience or interest depending on a project's reach/subject matter. Tell me what the project is and what it's about, and I can let you know!
  • My art is what I do in my free time outside of my job, so it's not always the quickest turnaround. I always try to get things done in a reasonable time, though!
