Every time I downloaded and tried to run your game I got errors specifically

Application folder:
Downloads/TrialofKnavery-v2
There should be 'TrialOfKnavery_Data'
folder next to the executable

I noticed it's because your data folder isnt named 'TrialOfKnavery_Data' but instead 'ECAug2019-jam_Data'. please fix and re upload so I can provide feedback

Friendly tip always run your exe before uploading to triple check for tests. QA is important esp in game dev

Interesting game. I love the color pallete you chose and unlike I first thought it didnt hurt my eyes after playing it for a bit.

It reminded me of old Text based RPGs and this also gave me a visual novel vibe. I do wish there was a bit more to the game besides clicking like when I clicked walk away I couldnt get the game to end nor could I walk off the cliff.

Since a lot of text doesnt change skipping text is a bit of a pain and I accidentally ate the guard more times than I wouldve liked lol. Maybe add a delay so we dont click wrong.

Yah the flag was the end and I was unable to build the game again to add the final effects due to weird DLL errors I couldnt fix in time.

I did have a lot of other plans for sounds such as changing the volume but the errors i mentioned before stopped that. I also wanted to add more modifiers to change gameplay but I had work so I could only work on the game for 10-12 hours total. Most of which was just level design and testing sadly.

Thank you so much for playing! Did you make a game for the Extra Credits Jame too? If so I'd love to play and return the favor!

If I had more time i would've finished adding difficulties like I planned. I never used pico-8 to make a game before so it was a bit of a learning experience.

Thank you Redditors for helping me make my game better. After you post your feedback please please please link your game and where to post feedback as well.

The reason it's better to have feedback here instead of just Reddit it's easier to find, access, and track.

no it just needs a game page. you can attach builds when you do upload though

Any easy way to move or link my logs from IndieDb to here without copy and pasting?
