"Dialogue sprites" have a version without armor, as seen in the "Attire" submenu and they are used for the Indoor Bath dialogues.
These will indeed be used in other dialogue, such as the ones leading to CG scenes.
However, the "Battle sprites" (fighting pose) do not have an under layer and are drawn as is.

In order to trigger both Sirma and Umbra introductions, the 'Forest Area - Deep Woods' need to be entered/completed on "Story" (so while progressing through the Forest), not on "Roaming" (where it can be redone at will once completed).
Indeed, if these had already been completed, it would require going back to at least the end of the prologue.

This sounds like the patching we tried did not work as intended from our side, before that version we were uploading the full build.
As we are still making a lot of modifications to the core files, especially the way progress is being unlocked, patch most likely did not handle the save file from the previous build correctly.
You might want to replace your current version of the game with the 0.0.11 completely from scratch (there is a feature ingame to give you a head start, so you will not have lost the progress you made up until the end of the Forest content, at the moment).
Let us know if that does it, we might want to stick to full build uploading then, for now.
